need advice on low bhp
hi ive recently brought a fiesta rs turbo and i think its rather low bhp for the work its had done spec as follows
bored out to 1700cc
accralite forge pistons
stage1 head port and polished
kent cam cvh 35
piper pully
cosworth t3 hybrid
-31 actuator
3"mongoose manifold back
burton high pressure oil pump
beige injectors
cosworth fuel pump
airtec double capacity intercoooler
ofab ecu with pts chip
knife edge crank with vandervell berings and shells
thats it for the engine im sure ive missed a few things its running 1.2bar and dyno it pulled 194.4bhp 192 ibs/ft which i think for the spec is rubbish to be honest or am i wrong in thinking that????it was dynod at power engineering thanks nathan

its not too far of what the engine could make but a chip and injector change would release more.

Doesn't sound bad,
Bear in mind that all dynos do vary and as long as you feel happy with it on the road then that's all that matters.
You could well go back in a week or so on the same rollers and it may pull 210bhp, don't get to worried about chasing numbers though is my advice.

The injectors and chip are holding you back.
Will cost you a fair amount of cash to get an extra 20-30 as then your clutch will probably start slipping and your oil pump will explode! blah blah blah

Beiges (701) are only 220[240]cc/min at 3bar, you would (I'd have though) be aiming around the 320-380cc/min mark for more power (but then you need a remap as the duty cycle on the injector will be too long). What Gav said, basically.
As for sourcing injectors, since the beiges are top fed you ideally need another high impedance top fed injector, be wary, however as top fed bosch injectors (from memory) come in three sizes, as measured between o-rings; these are 40, 48 and 60mm with 60mm being referred to as a full height injector. EV1 (fat) and EV6 (thin, later) refer to the body diameter, you can often fit an EV6 injector to an EV1 rail / inlet but sometimes can't go the other way.
There are a LOT of websites that will help you choose the injector you need, but as a rule of thumb, take
flow rate (in cc) / 5 x num cylinders
for a rough guesstimate. In your instance that's about 190hp based on quoted flow rates (old Bosch injectors often flow more than quoted).
380cc injectors sees that rise to about 300hp at maximum - 420cc to about 330, 440cc to about 350. I run 460cc injectors at nowhere near full duty cycle and have a stack of 380cc lucas injectors knocking around.
You should be able to source injectors nice and cheap, from memory the rover 1.4 mpi engine uses 460cc injectors while the bosch blues are also 440cc. I might step sideways at some point next year and replace the lucas 460cc injectors with bosch 440cc items for the arguably better spray pattern (nicer idle and lower end driveability).

Nothing to see here...

mate that's not bad power to be honest, but for me its how the car actually goes on the road not what power it is.
coming back from ford fair this year I was behind a mint red s2 escort ( lad with dreds had it ) that when I saw it at the show had a rolling road print out for 247bhp and mine was quicker than his when we blasted along the dualers on the way back and mine got rolling roaded at 207 bhp ?
so forget the numbers pal, there just for the pub those numbers
