My TOTB VI (2007) pics (many)
Paul (S1) drove the 320 miles or so up to my house from Essex on Saturday, and we left yesterday morning to go and watch TOTB near York, so here are my many photo's!
To start out...we had to go for a bit of a play in my Mk3, resulting in my turbo getting nice and warm
Then onto the show...Keith Cowie's 8 second R32 Skyline with 1,100-1,200bhp or so:
Manly clamp and threaded rods secure all boost pipework:
Immaculate, and extremely powerful Mk1 Escort (YB). It was great to watch, opposite lock all the way around the handling track
:
Random Skyline:
Yes please. Paul's (North Yorks RS Spares) RS500:
I was hoping this was a sleeper. It wasn't.
Escorts:
One of the RC Developments Evos...it had an 80mph smash into a barrier doing Time Attack the day before. They drove from the Time Attack event to the TOTB venue, rebuilt the front end that night, and stuck it on the track yesterday. Respect.
R33 Skyline with a custom paint job..including a four cylinder engine block on the bonnet
bigchief's fantastic-looking (IMO) R33 with approximately 650bhp:
One way to cool a turbo:
And the way to strip an interior (same car):
Andy Nicholls' 800bhp or so MG after a bit of a fluid issue:
One of my favourite Skylines from years gone by:
Looking better than it did the last time I snapped it, at Japfest, Silverstone, last month:
Another Skyline:
A monster power R32 Skyline with an incredible track width on the rear end:
Tidy R32 GTR which blew its transmission apart:
Hayabusa turbo Westfield:
The orange Reyland Mk1 Escort
Micra, which I never did see on the move actually:
Keith Cowie's Skyline from behind:
That thing really was a different car this year, phenomenal machine.
Poor Paul, I think the excitement of the day and the doughnuts before we left took it out of him
The ZT, pulling 171 miles out of half a tank. Still has a quarter left after the 240 miles it went yesterday, including plenty of playing
A line of four Evo MR FQs will vouch for that
