Re: My moondust RS turbo
I started to clean up and cut a repair section from this poor FRST
It has a little rust area but that will be easy to repair compared to the silver one

Re: My moondust RS turbo
Right a friend of mine has a new fiesta turbo shell, it has all the kit holes etc so a genuine shell, it was painted and half built before he needed to buy a house so he sold everything, but still has the shell, where do I stand with this If I went for it for my moondust?

I believe if its just the shell you can transfer the ID across to it so long as its using the original running gear?

Re: My moondust RS turbo
That's what I thought but someone told me I have to Q plate it
I obviously don't want to do that! Lol
Whether I carry on welding mine up or have this new shell blasted and painted and fit everything from my car?
Would I be ok putting the floor number in too?
Feels dodgey but don't sound dodgey if you get me!
I just don't want to de value the car or get accused of something naughty although technically its not. Is it?

If you have a look on the Dvla website it'll help clear it up. The majority of times a car is q plated is usually stolen recovered when the true identity cannot be ascertained. If you are able to prove the history I can't see it being a huge issue. A vosa place should also be able to help

Not really
But yes
"A car is built and given it's I.D that I.D has to stay with it throughout its life. But a re shell isn't illegal unless anything stolen is being used! oh and do it properly"
There words not mine
