btw is that a painted xr spoiler,.... if so how did you do it,...and if not im guessing its a painted rs??????

mk3phill - yeah, it's a painted xr2i spoiler. you need to get some plastic primer. if you use normal primer it will crack because it's not flexible. once the plastic primer's on, just paint a few layers of top coat on, and you're done.

looking a your sig, just wet a dry your bumpers to key them and then spray

there are gaps on the corners, and a tiny one in the middle where i cut it too short :rolleyes:

don't know how to get rid of the gaps on the corners guess i'll just leave it like that until i can be arsed to fix it. :bonkers:

Looks good anywayz mate, looks miles betta than it did with the normal splitter on, i need a new 1 for mine, its lookin a bit tatty now, ripped it off twice when my old engine wouldnt start and i had to get towed home all the time,

To finish the look of your car, you need rear opening windows. Then it will look like a proper Rs. Im after some but they are exspensive. £180 from fords?

knuckles - i'm only spending this sort of money on my 1.1 now, because in the future i'm either going for a 1.8 zetec turbo, or highly tuned 2.0 conversion.

blade - will look on ebay for some. always wanted the pop-out but they are quite expensive and i don't have the dosh at the moment

KINDA UPDATE:

ok. i've found some sierra sapphire 4x4 front brakes. i am right in thinking these will fit aren't i? although, can't go wrong for £20

don't know the condition of them yet, he's getting back to me. but even if the calipers need an overhall, and new discs/pads, i think it's a bargain.

will let you know how i get on.

car is looking sweet with the splitter,.....and thats something i like to hear,.....its the sae reason im spending on my 1.1i,..apart from that i want to keep another mk3 alive and away from a rusty grave :rolleyes:

thought i'd shape up my brakes. bought some red paint, and here are a couple of pics of the rear drums, will do the fronts tomorrow, too dark outside now:

Ive a 1.1i too, and few days ago I buyed arches, skirts and front/rear bumpers of an RS Turbo, my car its red and the bumps are white :cry:

i've got it sanded and ready to paint it, but I dunno whats the code of my car, the colour its radiant red, but in the paint shop dont know what colour is..
anyone know the code to buy it?

the bodyshop i got mine resprayed at didn't know the colour code either. but it didn't matter as i was getting a full respray anyway. it was the closest colour they could get to the original, the code was P9.

UPDATE: 25/11/2005

only a small update. bought ford badge to go back on the bonnet as i don't like all the smoothness anymore, i think it looks better with the badge

also got a 4" rolled out exhaust to put on, not sure whether it's a mongoose or scorpion :rolleyes:
