Re: My car!! UPDATE
corrr been ages since an update.
well after a lot of hard work put in to the car i had finished all the body work n had it painted! looks the nuts now!!

it now has a half stripped interior aswel, painted the dash n all plastic in black so they look new, the rear is fully carpeted with black carpet

unfortunatly the head gasket went so it is now back off the road again. i have a new headgaset kit to fit along with a new thermostat, plugs, leads, oil + filter
whilst it was stripped down i thought i would give 'polishing' a try!!! it is cast alloy so i had to sand back all th casting marks with 80grit, then 120, 240 etc etc
then went through the wet sanding with 400, 600, 800 then 1200. finished off with some autosol metal rubbing compound.
heres the results!!!!!

thought i would polish up my thtottle body so it flows better, also removed one of the springs so it opens more freely. painted the brackets so it looks a bit newer
Before!

After!

Shortened my gear lever by an inch so it gives a 'short shift' effect, it now has a much better feel to it.
