That paint looks superb! you've really done a great job on thatI noticed you weren't wearing an air-fed mask in the pictures, what type of paints did you use?
Two pack
I'm building the thing right now, sound proofing, waxing and bolting things on.

New wiper arms, full set of badges, sunroof bracket seals, door catches and some Mk8 Fiesta front panel clips to hold on the side skirts.

Butyl based Sound Deadening in tailgate, doors and rear quarters (thanks Dad), then the locks, motors etc. were added.

Dinitrol 3125 added to door and tailgate reveals prior to reassembly.

This adapter tube gives a 1m reach into box sections and its special head gives a 360 degree spray of wax, it's been very useful. I've pumped two cans into each sill.
New Mk5 Deadlocks and strikers.

I bought Mk3.5 strikers not knowing the Mk5 part was different: they look nearly identical, but there are a few small & important dimensional differences. I'll have to wait until after the holidays to order some Mk5 versions (Mk5 left, Mk3.5 right):

I also dropped off the brakes to my local engineers to have a few changes made.

looking good mark, dont fancy trying to persuade all that deadening behind the doors and door side impact bars lol
looks tricky
the cyndrical part on the strikers look larger on the mk5 on, bet the door would have been rattling on it
its all downhill from here, all fun fun

Get as much as the interior in as possible, and the rest of the interior sound deadened. I still need to locate a decent early Puma dash (dark blue) as mine is the later Dark medium Graphite.

Binned them - the Mk5 RS2000 Calipers are a bolt on solution, have the same thick discs (28mm or something) but the Piston is even larger! The calipers are unique to the RS, the rest of the modern Ford range (Focus, Puma etc. etc.) use a far smaller caliper.

should be perfect, I am stripping a ST170 at the moment (loom f**cked in this one) and will strip the other one after, so will try and make it so the loom is first thing out, so you can remove it as you please.

the structure does look different i gotta say, havent noticed the piston being huge compared though, but this is the only 260 set up ive had, but it isnt that small compared to the ST24 piston

Yeah, there's not much in it. The Mk7 Fiesta pistons were a fair bit larger than the Mk5 Fiesta/Puma 260mm setup, but smaller than the Mk5 RS2000 stuff. Paired up with a decent master cylinder they will give decent performance for the size.

Re: MWSTEWART | Si project - Reassembly 31/12
Got some new bits:
Focus RS head - Ported and fully rebuilt with oversize valves, new stems etc.
Newman sports cams
Vernier pulleys
Focus RS ECU, Wiring Loom and Key
Focus RS Fuel Rail and Injectors
Focus RS Inlet manifold
Another set of brand new FRS pistons (I'll keep these as spares)
I've already got some of the above, so this gives me chance to pick and choose.

Nothing has moved since Christmas, but I've got another load of parts waiting for me at Ford so I need to collect those soon. I should get back for a weekend in early Feb, and at the end of Feb I'm dropping off the interior for a trim. Things should start moving nicely when that's back.
