Excursion :I must admit, wiring from the HFS makes more sense. In the Mk5 however they are run from the rear screen and I'm trying to keep everything standard, so it's easy to work on the loom later on, using Ford diagrams.

mk6 fiesta is wired the same way aswell,
front screen on its own,
mirrors come on with the rear screen

jonyb4 :genious mark :Q

little tip for the underglow lighting, take a look at the mk7 fiesta Zetec model, it has soft red under glow from certain compartments like the roof, gearstick surround pocket and footwells

you could either use some hefty led's or go for what i would some cold cathodes, but they are a bit trickier to fit as theyre rigid, but come in a few different sizes, i used to get them off ebuyer.com

sa for the bonded mk5 screen, dont they still have window rubber seals?, least my mk4 did

its called submarine lighting, the leds are part of the courtesy lamp in the roof,
also on focus st's, focus rs, bmw's etc

and got it myself on my mk6 everyday from a focus

MY2011 Mk7's have a row of LED's above the glove box, borrowed from the US market car. I don't like it personally, it's a bit distasteful I think. The Audi's and BMW's I've owned had the submarine lighting. I may do that eventually.

The MK5 Fiesta Black didn't have heated front seats as standard - I've never seen them on a MK5, let alone a MK4. I've seen the odd Mk4 Ghia with electric adjusment but never heated seats.

No, just leather. I've never seen one, either! Must be foreign market, but definitely available somewhere as I've been following the wiring diags on eCat :D

The alloys on the 'Black' are actually Sparco Cromodoras, they are very light alloys and look great on a car that is slammed on it's arse. I'm a big fan as I had them on my MK3 along with the Fiesta Black Interior.

Let me know how you get on with that heated seat kit!!

My brother and I have them fitted to our recaros.. and after a short period they stopped working properly.. and now both sets don't work. I also had a pin on one of the switches starting to melt!

Be interesting to see whether they've made them any better?? Ours were fitted about 2 years ago.
