very small update

the car is in pieces now as im reshelling and putting a st170 6 speed box in .

i will keep you all updated.

at the moment it a mess.

Good thread this. Just a question, how have you configured the iscv? Only in the pics I cant see it in its original place? If its not how have plumbed it in etc?

I have rough idea but would like conformation from someone who has a zetec turbo running.

i use omex management so theres no need for a iscv as the omex runs the idle off the spark.

when it was running, it started fine and idled perfect!

Back on track!
After searching high and low for 6 months finally found a fiesta rs turbo to house my engine

Here it is. Got it at a bargain price and the shell is mint apart from the cracks in the filler from a petrol cap repair panel.







The engine has a Newman camshaft with double valve springs and solid lifters. It made 170bhp and 192lb/ft
With graphs from TOTD. Will all be for sale soon

just got to get started with taking the engine out to make room for the zt engine and frs box.

changed me plans to a focus rs gearbox.

imo you wont be able to run that kind of boost on the .64 you will run into back pressure probs at about 20psi then you will need the .86 and a 3" system if you dont have one on it already keep up the good work

as a mate of mine ran the same turbo on his fiat at some stupid boost pressure.

imo .86 would have been a little more laggy.

as for the white shell its gone to good home and wont be scrapped!

and just to think, people prefere helical gears because they dont make that beautiful noise, mad! all for a more civilised drive,
