sphinx :I kinda like the blue bits, as long as they're clean. :)

Yeah I know what you're saying, but the bits of black coming throught might annoy me, and the take the wheel off to paint would be a pain in the arse, plus it'll happen again!

I need some blue dye tommy boy!!

Cleaning up a treat :)

Be carefull though. It all starts with;

Get runabout
Clean it up
Update couple of bits
Change radio
Change speakers
Add amp
Change wheels

Before you know what's happened you own another modified car

Might just be me though :oooh:

mike_wall15 :
markhinton :Good stuff! :D

Those mats don't look like genuine Ford (if that was the description?) as the Fiesta logo is slightly wrong. None the less they look tidy, just don't get them too muddy or wet! :(

Oh, and don't suppose you're a member on http://www.zsoc.com are you? :)

I looked around and all the genuine mk5 mats looked like that :-?
They fit perfectly as they are shaped for the contours of the footwell, plus they have Ford written on the underside with part numbers etc

Do you have any genuine mats?

Yep, I'm on ZSOC too :aviator:

Looking at them again, they look pretty genuine to me! At first I thought the Fiesta logo had a capital, or a very big I but they fit great and look very smart :)

I have the genuine rubber Ford mats that came as a standard option - very durable but I want some carpet ones for show.

The steering wheel looks to be in pretty good condition... if you do need to respray, then you can pick some foliatec intensive interior spray up from either Halfords or Demon Tweeks, did the job on mine!! :)

Keep up the good work. :aviator:

Mark - Yeah some rubber mats would be good and would last well. I remember when I had some in my mum's old car, they go on forever! I just don't like the look really.
I read a guide about spraying the steering wheel, a bit too much time and money IMO and I'd like to see how long it lasts. If there was a dye you could apply with a sponge then I'd like that!

bridgend & Oranoco - haha! Yes it would be REALLY easy to modify but I'm in a nice 'standard' mode at the moment :D This way I can keep this and probably sell it for the same amount in the future :)

Mike - Yeah valeting at it's best. I hate interiors though and I don't have any good equipment, just a quickly really :)

Cheers :aviator:

The spray dye costs 12 squid iirc, or even less? That's all you need... and some patience!! :)

Well if Ford do them for the Fiesta then they'll do them for the Focus I guess. I kept and eye out on ebay, but I would have been prepared to pay Ford prices because I've got a thing about mats, I hate ones that don't fit right!!

Looks lovely mike...makes me miss my old one  wondering whether to sell my xr2i and get another one :-?

Doing a good job by 'restoring' it! :Q

Its got Phase 2 wheels, Phase 2 rocker cover so you say and by the look of it a darker dash...but it has Phase 1 Heating Controls.

Ade :)

Very nice! Far better than that Type R

They are genuine mats I have got a brand new pair sat at home and they are identical to the ones you have there.

Yeah Ade, it seems on the ZSOC site that they call some 'hybrids'. Where they are mostly Phase 2 but have a few Phase 1 bits (you probably already know that, sorry!! )
The big things are the engine and darker interior :)

Tom - I'd like to think it was better than the Type-R but they are still miles apart. I've just been out in the Type-R actually, some country road thrashing! :Q

I spent 20 hours sorting the paintwork etc out at the weekend, just need to upload some pics!! :D
