M4X WW - ZT Project - For Sale / Breaking (soon!)
Re: M4X WW - My Zetec Turbo Project
That's the neatest positioning I've ever seen of a cooler fitted that way. It's a shame about the bonnet catch; couldn't you fabricate a brace piece that goes behind the intercooler?

Thanks Mark, The rad will be right up high so Its not going to happen. The 'hook' on the bonnet hits the rad too so this will be removed.

Looks standard depth to me. It's a single-pass cooler though so that might be why it looks deeper than some.

I have a couple more small touches for the front end, but I'm hoping they wont be noticable

Re: M4X WW - ZT Project [Rad & Cooler on!]
I just want your car so much.
Is your radiator a standard FRST lay out, i.e. pipes and dimensions etc? I take it you're having a custom bottom hose made?

Cheers James - I did think about it, end tanks, all of it etc but I thought it could go horribly wrong!

Yes - Do you mean because of the water pump outlet? If so then its had an FRST outlet welded on - not ideal but its what it is (for now).

The thing that impresses me the most is the rubber seal around the cutout on the valance. Perfection.

Re: M4X WW - ZT Project [Rad & Cooler on!]
Thanks all, so to aid with my PAS cooler fitted above (with no air flow) I want to try and direct a bit of air through the holes in the valance.
I've 'illustrated' this in the attached mess - but basically I need to think of some small plastic items that I can attach to use as small ducts. They need to be a sort of 1/4 circle size - not thought of anything yet but there must be something kicking around I can use. Cut up plastic drain pipe or similar!

Re: M4X WW - ZT Project [Rad & Cooler on!]
Have a Ganda around b&q or a builders merchant, look at the wall, cavity, and roof/soffit vents, might find something that would do the trick.
Failing that make a mould and make ya own from fibreglass

Re: M4X WW - ZT Project [Rad & Cooler on!]
Well I've just had a bit of excitement and connected up the battery!!
Was a bit worried, as I've changed the whole loom and going by when the engine came out its not had any power for 3.5 years!
Anyway, ignition on and everything seems to work and I cranked the engine a couple of times. ECU and fuel pump fuses were out, as I'm yet to get the engine and car looms plugged.
I still have a stray cut wire in passenger footwell, any ideas?.. (I know the brown plug is for the door ajar switch now)

It was suggested previously that it was a side repeater earth, but this looks to be connected up behind the dash. There is a hole that looks like it should have an earth by one of the kick trim fixing holes though.
