How does it differ from a normal XR2?

not a lot, it was a dealer special so only silly things like the stickers. I don't know all the differences off the top of my head, but it was hardly worth bothering with

Graphics, Colour Coded Bodykit that was about it really. Available in a few colours white, blue and a rare burgundy.

I used to have a burgandy coloured one. Was known as 'Rosewood'. Wasn't an XR40 but apparently it was worth a darn sight more. Well it would have been if it didn't have so many holes

Only on my wall in my room.

I will have to see if any of my mates have got a pic of it.

The day I bought it, a fella offered to buy it from me there and then. Some of you may know him from Passionford or Xrtwo.com, Rolls.

The car didn't really have any extras, just the body coloured kit, standard yellow bumper inserts, and body coloured door handles but no 'good' accesories like leccy windows :(

'Rosewood' thats the colour I meant - Electric Windows and Remote Boot Release are mega rare on the XR2 - there were hardly any options available iirc Metallic Paint, and Alloys being basically all that was available.

Mine came with standard pots, interior etc. Lovely car though. I will try and find some pics of it.

I have still got the rear bench in the loft. Mint as fook. Don't even look like it has been sat on :o

XR2-40s came with the rs accesory wheels colour coded bodykit as standard and electric windows. No performance mods to the engine etc, just a final last run of cars, probably fewer than 50. I think they came in rosewood bergundy and paris blue. One I did have a look at many years ago had leather xr2 seasts apparently as a mega mega rare option.... :o

I bet they are as well. Mine would have been if it wasn't rotten :(

I wish I had sorted it now tbh. Would have been a lovely car. Was good to keep it nice and standard. Personally, i don't think mk2 xr's look any good standard anymore

I'm sure i read on a forum before that there were 47.

I haven't seen any about in recent years but I would have thought somewhere like the XROC would have some details on them :aviator:

They were known as XR40's. Came in Paris Blue and Rosewood.

As I said, i'm sure there were 47 made but the 'special edition' Rosewood xr2's i'm not sure about.

Hopefully there will be someone that comes out of the woodwork as an XR guru

My old xr2 C reg had a boot pop and i'm sure it was standard on the A B C reg xr2's.
