Nothing too serious but still a write off, probably.

Guy tries to over take me on a small main road, car was coming the other way so he swerved in and went straight into the back of me, tosser.

It's gone to the garage for a check but because he got my whole rear wing and bumper, and bent the rear axle, it looks like a write off.
Turns out his was just a rented car! :x

That's what I thought, but talked to a guy that owned a garage and he said that the work done would cost much more than the car is worth.

Good news that it wasnt that bad, but I'm sure that with money from a personal injury claim would be more than enough for a new motor :)

Wheels off, take money insurance give you, save a bit and buy a 1.6si (3 DOOR!) wheels on. Job done.

Hope the rest of this incident goes painlessly for you tho. . .

did he touch the rear wheel?
did u both spin?

unless he hit ur wheel i see it unlikely that the rear axel is bent;
be if it is writen off may be worth seeing what the insurance want for it cos i dont see they`ll want a lot

Thats not a write off, I could repair that in a few hours, doesnt need a new panel. Axle doesn't look bent either.

If you closely, you'll notice the wheel is pointing out slightly, maybe not the best pics. Basically what xrsi said.

Thats not a write off, I could repair that in a few hours, doesn't need a new panel. Axle doesn't look bent either.

If it isn't bent, then no I reckon they'll fix it. I checked the tire and there is a slight lip on it where it is running on an angle, we'll see when they ring me 2moz.

Got a brand new Corsa as a courtesy car, 1 Litre! ha!

Thanks for the replies, I took my clears off just before they took the car. So if it is a write off, I'll be selling em.

Soz for not replying sooner.

The car is a definate write off, I got £1100, first quoted £750. 8)

I took off the clear rears which are up for sale, hoping to overly charge those!

hmm and I've claimed on my neck, and they are reviewing my case.

Oh and I'll be getting a new car soon....not a fiesta.

Did he?

It looked like he was highlighting a security vulnerability. Not the best way of doing it as I'm sure Elm and Andymac are now writing some JavaScript code ;) But it got our attention nevertheless.

chumkila,

I don't know whether you are joking or not but no I didn't try and screw up the forum, what I posted was a simple code to show that it can be done, it wasn't malicious what-so-ever. Maybe I should have pmed someone about it, but I felt doing that was the only way to get people's attention.

So get your facts straight before you start blatantly accusing people.

smoov_fezzy,

Sorry mate, they had to go with the car as they were insured with it. :(

Project ST2000,

Thanks.
