hi everyone.
i am new up here, and would like some sugestions from experts.
i have a 1.1i fiesta, 5 door, from 1995! honestely would like to put a new engine, brakes, suspension, etc, but i am running out of money for that at this time.
anyway if there is some simple things to make it move a litle bit faster than a turtle, i'd appreciate your opinions.
best regards

theres more or less nothing you can do mate, you could turbo it, - expensive, could fit a better cam - expensive

you can make it sound and look better, exhaust, air filter and paints
but thats about it

you could fit small 13" wheels if you already havent got them, that would help instead of 15" but no, its very hard to tune the 1.0/1.1/1.3 hcs :(

HCS Gimp is famous enough for fitting a kent cam to the hcs, and he gained little from it

dont listen to these people, yes there are no out of the box upgarde parts for the hcs engine but it is definately tuneable you just have to know the right things to do, for outright power head to specialised engineering who will turn it into a little beast, as for everything else, bigger fords can easily supply all the parts you need
- rs2000 front brake set up
-focus rear disc breake conversion
- suspension will have to be bought from somewhere else tho

thats where i would start, and where i did start back in the day

yes dont listen to the people on here, most are only building 300+ bhp engines and fitting quattro running gear etc.
but dont listen, we know nothing

to go faster you need one of 2 things, money or skills, if your lacking on both, then your out of luck im afraid

lol you clearly havent tried it, hcs pimp *cough gimp* on here is famous for trying and he failed with an empty pocket

for a couple houndred quid you can have a Zetec sitting in the car thats by the time you'd have bought one kent Cam for your little 1.1 and not even gotten 1/10th of the power increase than that of a 1.8 130ps or 2.0 zetec
