hi

is the car lowered?

what size tyres are you using ?
what offset are the wheels

mine are 15" witrh 195/45/15 tyres with an offset of ET40
the fronts require a 5MM spacer to move them away from the shock.
the rears are fine and dont rub at all

to get the spacer size, you need to put the wheel up to the hub, measure the gap from the back of the wheel where the bolt holes are to the face of the hub and add about 5-10mm ,

be carfull tho as the larger the spacer you will need to fit longer wheel studs

hope that helps oh and check out my site and forum http://www.fiestaguides.co.uk

fiestaturbo.com :Offset

If you image looking at the wheel front on (as in if you are looking at the the front or rear of the car). Then imagine that you have X-ray eyes and can see through the wheel and see the face that mates up to the hub. Offset is the distance (in mm) that this face is from the the centre-line of the wheel. The standard Ford offset is ET35. Obviously if the face is to the right of the centre-line (looking at the left hand wheel on the front of the car), the wheel will stick out further. If it is to the left of the centre-line then the wheel will stick in further. Obviously, the idea is to get a matching offset (+ or - a few mm) to the standard car so that the wheels do not stick out too far (as they will touch the arches on cornering or with heavy loads) or stick in too far (will foul the shock absorbers / springs). Incorrect offset can be corrected using wheel spacers, for instance 3mm spacers will change ET38 to ET35. If the wheels were are ET25 they would protrude 10mm too far, this cannot be corrected using spacers.

7½J rim width is very very wide mate. 7J is about as wide as you should go. You can try 5mm spacer but I'm not sure if it will gibe the clearance you need

You should also not the standard offset of 35mm puts the wheel bearing on the centre-line of the wheel. Having it either side of the centre-line is how a car will start eating them.
