Yeah, trecoll was epic out there. I was very very rusty with the track, braking points, lines etc, Rob was so close to having me on the corners, although I did pull away a bit on the straights lol.
Nice pics Henry. Is it the shadows, or did I tripod it round camp corner?
EDIT: Shadows

I had to photo the random chaos on the way round to the esses. They took everyone off the track to turn round and go into the pits

So we have a date for the spring action day

got this letter from castle combe if anyones interested
Wasn’t it just great to have some decent weather for a change and, apart from the incidents on the circuit which we will come to later, what a fantastic day.
Perfect weather, some fabulous cars on display, an awesome Drifting Session, some mega performance cars on the track including Rob Austin’s BTCC Audi and a massive display of performance cars made for a memorable event.
For those who were using the circuit then, for most, things went well. However, for others clearly the lengthy hold ups proved too much but we hope that the vast majority of those affected will understand that despite the best efforts of a very experienced and large marshalling team these things can happen.
The morning was delayed due to two major oil spillages, on one at Quarry we were literally picking bits of con rod and piston up off the circuit – so it doesn’t get much worse and then a small car fire as well as the few breakdowns that often occur meant that we were going into the lunchtime displays behind schedule.
At this time we reduced the number of afternoon track passes that we were selling so that some sessions could be amalgamated and we were confident that we could make up the time. Then, however we had the massive accident at Camp Corner. Delighted though we were that both the driver and passenger had got away virtually unscathed the damage to the safety infrastructure was considerable. Some 20 marshals and safety crew were involved in ensuring that the accident was quickly cleared and with the deployment of safety bales and additional tyre barriers the integrity of the safety system at Camp Corner was maintained and we got underway again. In total, just these three major stoppages amounted to just over 6 sessions of lost time. With the amalgamated sessions and then running later than planned all those who were patient enough to wait got their track time.
Obviously we regret any incidents however caused but for us, the safety of those involved in the accidents and those behind the barriers that are watching is paramount.
Car of the Show & Club Stand of the Show
Judging of the Car of the Show and Club Stand of the Show took place during the lunch period with Mr DP from Yatton taking the Car of the Show award with his 1994 Escort Cosworth, part of the RS Owners Club Bristol Area display. Owned for over 8 years and with 7 Action Day appearances the car has been prepared to its amazing condition by the owner himself over that period.
The Club Stand of Show went to the South West Vauxhall Owners Gloucester Group. Having enjoyed a stand at Action Days over the last 4 years the 20 or so owners were delighted to receive the coveted accolade, if there was a prize for the dirtiest car of the show they would also have won with their 4x4 Vauxhall that formed a major part of their display making the contrast between their display of immaculate performance Vauxhalls even more noticeable and impressive.
We hope that next year’s Forge Action Day will be even bigger and better than this with some new ideas already being discussed and planned. But of course before then we have track days available – with a special discount offer and of course in April we have our Spring Action Day with the date already set for Saturday 27th April. More details of both follow.
So we have a date for the spring action day

The 'chaos' photo looks worrying, reminds me of that Nurburg crash.
Too many different types of car/driver experience?

The chaos photo was basically everyone was stopped on track, and were then told to turn around and go through the pits - there was no speed involved there at all.
