people on the RSOC Board are right.. if he claims on your insurence, u will lose all ur NCB, best bet is to phone him up and explain that u will give him the cash,

u can try and pull it off by saying this way u will get it sorted now instead of later and that his insurence will go up as he will be making a claim... not striclt true but worth a try.

FesterRS,

Ive got a guy claiming off me now but I will only lose one years no claims with Adrian Flux. Thing is, your insurance company will always tell you NOT to admit liability, so phoning the witness and asking him if you can pay IS admitting liability.

Unless there was any witness's, the insurance could try and get out of it by saying maybe he drove into you and led you to believe that you rolled into him!!

Always tricky!

Andy
I see what you mean and others have tried to convince me to do that aswel but the truth is.
It was slow moving traffic (as is all of the UK!) and i was p!ssing about with my CD player. Looked down to press play and when i looked up i was in the back of the Rover..doh!
Whether he stopped or not i went into the back of him and theres no come back.
I tried to sort it out from my own money but because of the fact that Rover cant guarentee getting a pre-sprayed bumper the price will vary about £100 so ive let my insurance company sort it out and when theyve got the bill i can decide whether to pay it or not.
Either way its getting me time to think and rid of the hasstle of sorting out the repairs.
I did a check and the difference at this moment in time between 3 yrs and 1 yr is £200 and at worst with an expensive company is £400 so it gives me a year to decide.
Only bummer is ill not go to 4 but back to 1.
