Fuel Pump Not working.

Hey guys i have recently put my frst engine back into my cars shell and when i put my ignition on to start it all the lights and stuff come on but my fuel pump is not workin. i have checked that the fuel pump works by overriding the wiring but it just wont go on when i put the ignition on and consiquently want start. Can anybody HELP.

Check your engine bay earths chap, especially the one from the engine loom to the battery -ve.

have u tried the inersher (spelling) switch its located in behind the little flap in the passenger footwell just push the button ontop :D

well my fuel pump has died!! but i tried in the little flap in the passenger footwell just push the button ontop but i tried to start to the engine also there is no buz sound for fuel pump. so that why fuel pump has died. anyway i have to buy new fuel pump

Before you go and buy a new pump test to see if there is power getting to the pump, Lift up the rear bench pull the plug off and use a multimeter, should get a reading for a few secs when ignition is switched.

Yes i have tried the inertia switch and the earths. the fuel pump works but have put multimeter on it and the plug is not getting any power :-? Any more ideas guys?

Relay in the box? Mine was in bad shape, first it didn´t start every time, then it died completely. Relay was full of rust´n stuff :)
