Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
If not, another idea could be to fill a couple of months with nice group shots from shows?Simon84uk :IBut using the mock-up as an example we need 1 "main" and 5 inset cars per month so we're going to need 72 cars for the calendar. Could we get than many put forward? seems like a large amount to me.

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
indeed, if it doesnt add to much to the cost then i think that can be done.
anyone know dates and locations yet? if so pm them me
by the way chaps, and chapets, so far it looks like the calendars could well be costing between £4 and £5 each, thats 12 months and a cover, but that price is based on a order of 50 and is the cost per calander to me.
so you could well be looking at about a tenner for a calendar, but im yet to hear back from a few places so it could change
anyone tight enough not to spend a tenner on one?

I'll buy one anyway, £10 is a worthy cause to see the best fiesta's each month when I wake up.

£10 is a fair enough price

There have been some great cars on FT.com over the years and a number of the owners have moved on. Should the calender have the old cars or should it represent the current cars and members. Just another twist!

Some of the old great cars that have been on the site should be added to the voting for sure as I've seen loads of them come and go

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
anyone that puts there own car forward on the other thread is entered, if they dont, there not, so if there past members that dont use the site any more then sorry its tough for them.
and if the car was broken/scrapped and is no more, then i wouldnt expect them cars to be put forward, the calendar im my eyes should show the cars of the current users, and if the cars off the road for a touch up, more mods new engine what ever, still entre it, of you have a good pic of the car with a good back drop please still enter you can always use that pic
and just to say, the £10 price tag is a guess, it could be a tiny bit more, it could even be a bit less, once i know whats gunna be what i can get proper prices
i.e, how many pages, whats on each page etc etc

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
ok chaps just bumping the thread, well, not bumping it as its a sticky, but making you all aware its still here, and the voting is open for 1 more week so if you havent voted or know someone who hasnt voted and fell they should link them over, because when the poll is done its done and the calendar will go with the votes and only you, the member / members of FT can decide how it goes, and your vote could be a deciding vote for/on the last day.
so as they say you have to be in it to win it.
and no moaning from anyone if the votes dont go how you wanted them to, its a fair poll for all, so lets get them votes sorted and i can get the ball rolling with the next stage

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
I think this is such a decent little project you've started Jay!!
I liked Nicks mock up, I wasn't sure about more than one pic on each calendar month but that looks really good!!
Also, no specific ideas for a 13th page as yet but I think anything that includes as many people as possible is brilliant!!

but you haven't asked people to put their names/cars forward yet have you? I think there will be judging by how many people have voted on the poll. People are obviously interested mate.

BigUKG , yes mate i have, its in the other thread, link to which is on my first post on this thread mate
nick, who says you aint allowed?
i think i will go with the idea of 1 main pic of a car/model, which, will be decided apon on this poll, but the cars that dont get voted for to be in the main pics are still able to get on the calendar, as i like the idea of 1 main pic then X amount of cars in smaller pics down the side.
if that happens or, or more to the point, how many smaller pics will be put on will come down to numbers, if no one bothers to put there cars forward as there model didnt make this poll, then i might drop that idea and just stick to 12 mian pic's and 14th pages for runners up, again if there are enough to make 12 runners up

just saying mate.
if a better pic was needed or what ever it wouldnt happen.
besides, it wouldnt really be right letting cars that are no more be in it, as everyone that had a good car once would wanna put them pics forward

I see your point jay, but perhaps those should be used for the front cover or something? technically not feature cars that way? that is a brilliant picture seems a shame not to use it.
it would have to made clear an exception to the rule was being made for the front cover though IMHO. Besides, this is really an FRST forum/website, and they're some lovely standard examples so I think perfect for a front cover?

not a case of being a jobs worth, its a case of if i let one car thats now scrapped in everyone will want there car that was scrapped entered, and its not giving a true show of the ft users cars.
its not a ft "used to be" calendar

I wont be submitting any other pictures of my car. So if my car doesn't end up in the calendar because the french rs is no more then that's that.

And its a tribute to the french rs too. That was when it was looking its best after all our hard grafting.
I wont rant on too much but a single picture of my car wont be appreciated as much as them group photos.
