I got the inlet pipes from a shop on eBay all I did was design where I wanted the filter to sit which is right behind the headlight and I just measured what I needed and ordered some 2inch alloy inlet pipe and some silicone.
The manifold was a pulse buy I didn't think it would make any differnce but it freed up low down revs I can notice the diffrence straight away plus it sounds mint.
The megasquirt I got at trade as my best friend builds them and fits them he also live maps them too.
Also my local college has a rolling road so we have
Managed to get some rr time for a power run and some mapping really intrested in what power it is so we will see

well another small update i picked up my new wheels today Compomotive TH 7j ive been after a pair of these for a while and some came up so i snatched them payed £220 for 6 of them
so 4 of them are going to be wraped in toyo proxes and another 2 are going to have toyo r888 on for the drag strip. they are need of a good refurb as they came off a gravel rally car so i will start refurbing them next week then colour them gunmetal also if you can notice two of them are the more recent ones that dont have the old style writing on them there just smooth i am thinking iam going to make them all like that what do you think?
well heres a quick pic i took.

Re: Frostie N643 RCY *New Wheels 14/12/08*
well ive been busy today with preping my new wheels for painting and it has been easy i started off with removing the writing on the wheels as these are the old compomotive th's with the writing on them and i don't like the writing as i think it looks old skool i prefer the new one style. which are all smooth! plus my other two are the new ones which don't have the writing so i want them to match
so i started with grinding off the writing and being extremely careful not to go too deep and i managed to make no mistakes i did all four this is what they looked like after me doing this.

i then started to flat with 80's sandpaper and it was taking to long so i got out the nitroumors and started on the inside as i new it would'nt take as long with the paint being thin.

then i started on the front using nitroumors and a wire brush it didnt take long after i got through 3 layers of paint
i then started to rough up some of the kerb marks and stone chips as there is a few as these are of a gravel rally car and after few hours of flatting i managed to finish it

only got another 5 more

Re: Frostie N643 RCY *New Wheels 14/12/08*
hello everyone well dam i am pretty busy over the last few weeks i have finally finish the girlfriends aubergine fiesta si i have put a 2.0ltr in there for her so will get some pics soon just needs arches and skirts painting along with the front bumper so she ows me plenty of favours
the sleeper will be making a apperance soon as i plan to start that saturday night and finnish sunday replacing the engine with another 2.0ltr as it has a bodged oil pump from previous owner also its using water and the gearbox is wining like a Bic™ and only ingages forward gears si it will have new engine and box in by sunday night hopefully. i managed to get a free 2.0ltr zetec of a good friend of here for free so a big shout out to him HPIV his username is so be friendly.
well i finally did it and stped being a tight arse and i bought a 2.1 zetec turbo engine with forged piston and all the worked done its the one that XRSI was selling. so i went to his last Friday evening to pick it up and we shoe horned it into the back of the fiesta and rachet strapped it to the roll cage
also got a t3 samco and green cotton filter and a new radiator which iam bit dissapointed as i thought he might of gave me the decent one he had so i doubt i will use as alot if not all of the fins are damaged but we will see.
so the next day i took the head of the new engine to be amazed by how some one was actually using it the valve stem seals where leaking it hadnt even been skimmed it had just been rubbed at by a finger nail if i was to be honest.
this is what i saw when first took of the head.

also can you see the hammerite blob on the piston
bearing in mind this engine has APPARENTLY done 400 miles, this looks like to me a bit off over fueling cause by some pikey running it on ofab or fac i can never understand why people do it get your self some aftermarket management. so i also notice there was paint yes paint running down the inlet from someone going over board with the hammerite so when i turned the head over i was faced with this.

this was the case on two valves stuck open in the head, so iwas done with this head luckly i had this !

a fresh head that i have had acid dipped and i have also taken all the cast marks off the exhaust and inlet side no major work just a tidy up to match inlet manifold and exhaust manifold.

re ground valves that my dad had cut new angles on to and then i had the lovely job of lapping them in by hand no drill here good old fashioned way !

so once i spent a few hours doing that i could reassemble the head using new valve stem seals and these above my area six valve springs
then went on to fit the collites which i thought would be a lot harder than it was just need a lot of patience.
while i was doing this i had my pistons soaking in petrol so i can get them cleaned up !

used a pan scrubber and they came out brilliant like new !

quick picture of the oil feed and a beather.

i have order the parts to refit my head
x1Focus RS headgasket
x1Focus rs spark plugs NGK ones !
x1zetec headbolts
x1new timing belt
also my new centre caps arrived today for my new wheels which fingers crossed are goign to be painted this week.

looking forward now to seeing them on my car. i have also started work on my new bumper going for a rs/r2i item with a vr6 splitter which i wouldnt mind any tips or advice of how to fit please !

oh this has all been rushed on because wednesday night my car decided to loosen a spark plug and then fire it out of it threads along with taking al the threads with it so i have had to helicoil it hopefully it will hold for a few weeks. plus i have notice it has been using abit of oil say every 2 weeks i have to put a litre in which aint too bad this is down to having blow back with worn piston rings.
so onwards with the zetec turbo dead line is march SOMETIME

Re: Frostie N643 RCY *Massive update zetec turbo 06/02/09*
another update!
my bro painted my bumper the other day so that is now fitted along with my new plates
we also got the vr6 splitter on which my brother help and mainly did if i was honest as it was making me pull my hair out !

i think it looks 10x better now it suits the zetec s rear bumper squares things off really happy with the finish it didn't even need polishing ! all credit to him as he goes away tomorrow to New Zealand so he was rushing to get them done as he goes away for a month ! so i beg him to do the bumper and my girlfriends rs skirts and arches and another front bumper and then along with my wheels which are now finish and they are drying tonight in a little cold unit in Preston.
first coat of paint

after a few coats of paint and 2 coats of lacquer!

so i will let them harden for a few days before i can wrap them in my Toyo Proxes.
well i recieved my new turbo the other day it is a Garrett gt2560ls basically a standard Focus RS turbo but they can run up to 22psi on standard internals with no problems and produce around 320bhp on a 2.0 zetec mine being a 2.1 shouldnt have a problem with that fiqure but i will start at 10psi and go from there so should be running 250bhp for a while get used to power etc. i also got a focus rs manifold for free as a favour of a mate so i am stoked about that and today i recieved the rest of the parts to assemble the engine a:
x1 focus rs decat pipe
x1 focus rs genuine ford head gasket
x1 focus rs headbolts genuine ford
x1 focus rs turbo to manifold gasket genuine ford
x1 focus rs v band clamp 4 inch genuine ford
so should keep me busy.

ive not bothered to take pictures of the gaskets i will when i assemble it !
well thats it for today apart from the sleeper is back on the road so i can give the red one some loving care !
cheers frostie
