Front speakers
had to play around with my electric window motor yesterday and managed to get it working.
whilst i had the panel off i had a look at the front speakers to see how u would fit replacement ones in. but couldn't really work it out lol. do u av to screw them in to the actual door not in adaptors. don't actually av a clue so any help there would be good.
not desperate but would be good to know if i decide to swap em.

Re: Front speakers
When Road Radio put my kicker components in, i swear they just screwed them straight into the door, if that helps.
But i am sure there are adapters you can get if you want them.

Re: Front speakers
Screw the speaker into the adapter, then screw the adapter into the door
If this doesnt work then you either have the wrong size speakers or the wrong adapters

Re: Front speakers
Yeee i just recently got given some components along with the adaptors and when i pulled the door card off to have a look the speakers woldn't fit without those adaptors. Adaptors are only a few quid online anyway, not too expensive.
Once i pulled the stock speaker out tho i found a multi plug thingy so i wasn't able to fit the components anyway. I done some research after and found out that i need some speaker adaptors that allow you to convert the multiplug conection back to a standard positive and negative cables. I was just wondering if anyone knows another way arounds this before i go ahead and buy the speaker adaptors. I dont want to run them from an amplifier for the time being as im not that fussed about gettin big volume just better quality of sound.

Re: Front speakers
i think i'm right in saying that those adapters are just specifically for the original ford speakers. you should be able just to cut it off with some snips, leaving you with positive and negative. then attach some spade connectors which will fit directly onto the new speakers you have.
job done

Re: Front speakers
To the guys who said they just snipped the multiplug off. I thought i could just do that aswell but i have 4 cables coming from the back of this multiplug and thats the bit that confused me otherwise i would have sniped it off aswell.

Re: Front speakers
Hey guys, i decided to be brave and just cut the plug off
Even tho there were 4 cables from the back of the plug, 2 were yellow and 2 were white so i gathered they do the same job. I just pinched a spade connector onto the end of both yellow wires and then the same with the white cables. Im gettin noise from them now anyway so it must b ok. thanks for your help guys
