Ford Rallye Sport font
Hello there
I've got the font that I believe the rallye sport logo uses (clone of Helonia Neue) but does anyone know how I'd go about getting a better match? For example the 'Ford' and 'Sport' letters are a little thick and the 'Rallye' letters aren't think enough, even in bold, when compared to the Ford version.
Is the above font the best match I can hope for?
Thanks,
lee

FezzR :oh and depends what they used to create it originally, to what other options they have used.
its rare, to be as simple as just using the right font
True, my mate works for Bemrose Booth in Derby, and he says that so many clients pick an existing font, then ask em to adjust it by such a tiny amount each letter (Obviously in a font maker or other such vector manipulator), as a means of copy protection on their artistic licence.

Thanks for the replies. Should have known it wouldn't be as simple as using one font with regular and bold settings, although they all look good enough for me
What's all this light extended stuff - whereabouts is this in photoshop?
Much appreciated,
lee

Close! Not quite bold enough though.
43 is correct but if you use 73 (bold extended) then it'll be spot on.

If you have a paint or graphics prog then you'll probably have a clone of Helvetica but not the Linotype original, which are expensive to licence.
A couple of clones I can think of are Bitstream's Zurich and Swiss 721.
