Hi all,

Some good news and some bad news I'm afraid...

Good news first, me and the misses have a baby on the way! :D

Bad news, I have to get rid of Fanny, for obvious reasons, I can't keep her with a baby on the way. Need to purchase something more sensible. Ford Focus or a Mk6 Fiesta, something boring like that.

It's official, Fanny is for sale. Any Mk3 parts needed then let me know. Gaz coilovers, Recaro interior bits, Borbet alloys etc

Let me know...

James

Cheers man. :)

I'm gonna break it, then either scrap the shell or sell it cheap. The sell is knackered now, shame I let it get like that really, but never mind. You live and learn...

Good luck with the sale. Still don't quite understand what's so impractical about a Fiesta though, its a 5 seat hatchback, can't you just raise it up, sort any small issues out and keep it going?

I would fully understand if you currently had a smart car or an MX5, but a Fiesta is designed to be a family car.

You don't need to sell it. I have two kids under three and manage fine with my 5 door mk3.5. Plan the pushchair purchase, cheaper ones are more likely to fit. As long as you don't have a front seat all the way back any car seat of any type will fit. Both my 5 doors (RIP the old one :( ) have bought my kids home from the hospital and continued since.

With the 5 door fezzies, there is no need to hange car because you have kids, trust me!

I've worked with people who immediately think they need a Galaxy or S-Max when their wife falls pregnant. I find it a bit pathetic TBH!

My parents had a a Mk3 XR3I and a Mk1 Supersport when my brother and I were kids. Never any problems.

ia lso think its a bit daft, but i suppose having a stroller and shopping in the back of a fiesta can be bit of a push

a people carrier is over the top though

There's footwells in the back not being used by feet for shopping :). I could also get a months worth in the boot along with the right pushchair/pram. It doesn't get tighter with two as one can walk if the other needs a pushchair due to ages.

Ford Fiesta Mk3.5' Projekt OEM+: FOR SALE

Postby dontpannic on Wed Jan 25, 2012 7:26 pm

But what will happen? You'll sell the car and bits, pay the credit card, then realise 'f**k, public transport is so expensive, I need a car' buy a car on the credit card and you're back to where you are.

Can't see it myself but maybe that's just me.

my thoughts, selling this no offence wont see much past 500/600 and you will then have to buy another car!

cut your losses and cope with this, its great on fuel, you like it and if your not being pedantic will suit parenthood fine

and them alloys for sale wont last long, they're gorgeous i bet no doubt someone will snatch them up
