flexable body filler

Postby JayC on Thu May 10, 2007 12:17 am

Evening chaps, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good flexable body filler, something that is ideal for smoothing an RS bumper across where the colour strip would be

Im going to spray the front, sides and rear matt black for the meantime.. but im confident enought to smooth some areas aslong as i know it will flex.

in the future i will have it all sprayed up, but at the moment im striking the balence of keeping my money where it needs to be, and budgeting on the body but still getting rid of the Si kit.

Any suggestions would be cool. :Q

The front wont be comming off yet, nor the rear, but i have a burgandy rear bumper its got a couple scratches but its fine for a respray or to leave as it is (if your cars burgandy)

also got a 12bore front bumper perfect and ready to fit in the gelcoat.

Still need to know about filler chaps if anyone has any suggestions :)

thanks

I have mixed chopped strand fibre glass, with bodyfiller, it has the strenght of the fibreglass but sands like the filler, it should hold as the strands wont let the filler crack. i would also suggest sanding the surface with 60 or 80 grit paper to help it take.

if you dont get any other suggestions it would be worth a shot!
