Finding that damn noise!!
Hey guys, I've got a mk5 which has got a sound I can only say sounds like a loose washer on a loose bolt somewhere.
I have had everything apart and the noise remains, and nothing at all is making this noise that I can find!!I suspect it to be my OSF wheel bearing, but it isnt loose and it doesnt have any movement so it cant be.
I am genuinely at the end of my tether and I will appreciate any suggestions at all!
Here she is, 5 door 1.6 Ghia. Probably the only genuine 5 door Zetec-s mk5 you'll see.

1. Whereabouts is the noise coming from? Cabin? Engine bay? Underneath? Front? Rear?
Stones/nuts/bolts/washers can often fall into the gearbox cradle or onto wishbones. My gearbox cradle housed a few rattly things on more than one occasion. Loose anti-roll bar drop links can also rattle away, so they're worth a check.
