samco full water hose kit / roose motorsport ERST bottom boost hose, 2 90degree bends for the top intercooler, and the straight reducer was suppose 2 be another 90degree bend for the throttle body, but was sent the wrong bit
Image

(not in picture) the water pump > radiator > header tank hose is off being modified at the local hose place to accept the larger diameter zetec waterpump

not done alot else really, as this lot cost me just over 250 :( getting kinda skint now

Ian - What do you say to powder coating the top radiator pipe silver to match the cam cover/gearbox/master cylinder etc? Shiny's always nice, but it all looks so so sweet with clean white and sleek silver, and I know you know powder coating people. Would be a really nice touch I think, along with any other metal parts you have left to fit :) It all looks brilliant so far, keep it coming!

Glad to hear you got them at last Ian - just a C-spanner to find now!

As for the shocks being dirty - to stop them from rusting I had them coated in copper grease, you try getting that crap off!

Function over form for me, I've never really been into the whole buftying thing :Q

P.S. Love the Fiesta Haynes manual levelling out the workbench or shelving unit at the side of your garage! :P

Fairly easy to make these, a lump of 1/4" steel plate can be easily cut to shape. With the right tools of course. If anybody would like one give me a shout, i may be able to knock one or three up

well today was a crap day :x

raining all day so i couldnt get the car out, so i thought id roll half out and put the front coilovers on :D took off both wheels, both hubs both old spax shocks in about an hour (not much space to work in the garage)

went to put the new rubber top mounts, and guess what :x they dont pissing fit :x ford have given me the wrong ones, they were not wide enough at the bottom
Image

so ive managed to put the front coilovers on, but they will have to come off again to put new rubbers on :x

so then i thought id have a go at putting the inlet on, seeing as i got back my custom gasket for it :D
Image

looks good. till i went and got the custom boost hose roose made me, its too big, dont even fit inbetween  :x the brake reservoir is ALOT closer than i expected :( not roose's fault, mine
Image
Image

so i need to get searching for another 90degree bend hose

was too pissed off by this point to do anything more, but i did just put my strut brace on for a trial fitment :D need to get some nuts / bolts for it yet
Image

and to top the day off, was putting stuff away, and i dropped my tool box :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
Image

that took me about 20 minutes to find where all the bits had rolled and put all back in

So with the inlet hose, what have other people done? Looks very tight, and are 90 degree bends a problem with flow?

:)

What a day! What are you going to do about the hose? Nasty waste of money if it's not going to fit :( Please will you get a new brake fluid reservoir? Shinetastic engine bay is spoiled by it! :( Strut brace looks quality. LLAMA at the tool box shot! Gutted!! Hate that :x

look a few replys above mike. i dont see a probelm with a 90degree bend, sunnys engine made well over 300 with a 90 bend right on the inlet. and ian howell did it for me, and he said it would be ok :D

well the hose is my fault really, i just told paul at roose i wanted a 70mm throttle body end, a 90deg bend, and the other end 51mm. thinking, what ever he made, would fit. i "might" have a go at chopping it up before i invest in another one

i will ask for how much the reservoir will cost  :P

There is nothing wrong with those top mounts you special

Also, there is no need to remove the suspension to fit new ones.

the old ones fit over the whole of the gold cup, where as these just sit on the top kinda thing :-?

That's because your old ones are worn, the top mounts on mk3's really are a stupid design; the weight of the car on a soft piece of rubber with nothing to stop it splaying out - resulting in s**t handling!

I wrote about this issue in my FRST resto article:
