I recieved my replacement 2.0 silvertop engine on sunday from a fello Ft member :D
Its had recent cam belt , water pump and other goodies.

i plan to give it a clean up and a fresh coat of paint. still trying to source a ib5 gearbox with rear starter motor. This will enable me to get the Focus st170 manifold modded to fit the current scorpian exhaust and free up some horses

Oh yeah, you'll need a compatible starter for the rear starter iB5, but should be easy enough to find :)

would of been nice to go blacktop and may be on cards in future but looking at a timescale to get it back on road for ford fair. I opted to get another silvertop. im hoping i can source the ib5 soon so i can throw that in with the engine at same time.

Im not a fan of silver engines.

Makes sense. The only reason for me saying blacktop is not because i think their better, but their just more readily avaliable with low mileage & fitted to three models rather than one.

fuel-injection-tank-vt190650/

that link has all the info you need. I bought it from ebay. Used the original top mounted fuel sender which is purely for the fuel guage on CFi fuel tanks. The cfi tank has 2 pipes on the bottom of tank, fuel feed ( large) fuel return (small).

Ib5 gearbox finally found !
this particular one came from a low milage 1.8 escort turbo diesel van. So the ratios will be well suited to the 2.0
Rear mounted starter will allow me to finally get the st170 exhaust manifold on

the seller took the liberty of jet washing the box - happy days :D

might powder coat it yellow
