them brakes will be better when you fit that servo and master cylinder.
did you get the piucs of where you want the ecu for me? not real rush, provided i got them for the weekend of say next monday, and ill knock up a mounting brakets for the ecu before you come over, i dont fancy spending time fcukign about on ya car when ya over, you have a tendancy to bring rain and bad luck

Gareth.
do you remember the manufacter stamp on the top ?
mine said made in canada. tbh that swirl pot in yours is pretty small - does it surge alot ?
my tank level is on red atm and i get no surging or lack of power
Yeah loads of surging when it gets down to 1/4 of a tank, only round left hand bends. Its so annoying, the engine has never spluttered or miss fired though but its just the noise its horrible! Will defo be replacing the tank when the black top goes in. I cant remember the markings on the top. I will quote the numbers etc off the top of yours when I come to get a fresh one.
What you need now to really bring it alive now is a 4 branch and if you can find one, the appropiate "chip" for the ecu. You going to be doing any thrack days etc in this?
Gareth.

The return to standard, from the above sig pics - back to how Ford intended..............

Re: Fiesta mk2 - 2.0 done
yes i completely agree! a 4 branch is a excellent way to make the engine come alive!
i myself have recently been getting a fair bit of fuel surge, its very anoying, makes me thing theres nothing in the tank and im going to run out soon, as well as ruining the corner

we have a st170 exhaust manifolf in the pipe line. But need a ib5 gearbox 1st to get it on. The front starter was in the way. Dont think the car will see a track but it will defo do some 0 to 60 runs.
Ive tought a few bmw drivers a lesson already

Re: Fiesta mk2 - 2.0 done
surely getting an ashley manifold will be cheaper than alter the st item and a gearbox, starter and extensive mount designing?

Re: Fiesta mk2 - 2.0 done
Clark already has the st/st manifold so a gearbox would be <£100, wiring peanuts. Ashley manifold would cost the same if not more. Even if the conversion did cost a touch extra, it's still a much better mod than using Ashley.

add to that the fact the ib5 is a better box and rear starter is mucher better than a heatsoaked front one.

even more of a modification to fit a mk2.
would rather fit the original ford item than a ashley so it looks more standard with a proper heatshield on.

Ashleys are dog sh*t. It'll be cracked within a year. Might as well wait till a mk2 magnex comes up for sale.

i do require it, and no, wont swap for that t3 hybrid down pipe
although if you have a T2 down pipe (or the matting flange) i may still have a normal T3 down pipe i could use to make you one you require

Because that's the offset of the hub, 280 won't fit.

Re: Fiesta mk2 - 2.0 done
clark needed a bracket for his ecu, so i knocked this up for him today, its not fully finihed, still some edges to finish rounding off, and once he comes over for a test fit, i can finish spot welding the mounting lugs on, as they only have 1 on each at the mo.
its made completely of stainless, and i made a tad bigger to allow for some foam tape to be put in to cushion the ecu and grip it better
its made to mount on 2 of the studs from the servo mounting that comes throught he bulk head, and ive put 12mm holes to make it easier for fitting
hes current ecu location, with the bracket ive made it will take it up higher behind the glove box out the way

thats a steak dinner and a couple pints right there clarky boy

Re: Fiesta mk2 - 2.0 done
yeah indeed it is mate, it should fit just fine based on talking to clark last night, i trial fitted it -ish on my xr2, but i dont have the dash or heater in so had to decide the best place for the mounts, hence the single spot weld on each, worse case ill have to drill one off and move it, and its easier to drill 1 weld than many, more so in stainless
