Stupid question - how thick are 5 penny washers? Id rather have spacers made up than use washers.

Sorry to be so blunt, but no chance!! Ive got 15"s and i had to remove the balancing weights to get the wheel to turn! Look how thin they are!

yeah only 4x4 cossie calipers work

you cna use the sierra setup as i did

or escort cosworth ones work just the same

2wd cossie ones dont tho

So Sierra Cossie 4X4 OR Escort cossie calipers....i assume u mean the front calipers etc in both cases? :-?

Hi,

I've not fitted mine, but here is the description I heard:

"Your head hits the windscreen."

Is that good enough for you?

This is how you can tell the difference between 2wd discs and 4x4 wheel and escort

4x4 Sirrea and Esscort Cossworth

Have

Dim 278mm
Hub 150 mm
height 36mm
thick 24mm

And also esscort cossie there is only one type of disc...

2 x Drive Sirrea

Dim 283mm
Hub 150 mm
height 55mm
thick 24mm

I hope this helps people out.

So, is this fairly easiy to do then as the guid makes it seem as though it is?
Anybody know what difference it makes i.e stopping from 60mph?

Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

IIRC the cossie brakes are the same size as the Mondeo V6 ones, I have a set of mondeo V6 calipers for sale.

I also have made a guide for fitting 300mm brakes to a mondeo, I imagine its similar to fitting on a fez

Hi All,
Got the stuff for my escort cossie capilers and mounts did u use the cossie mounts for the capiler or the fiesta ones as the bolts the fiesta ones uses is two small to fit in the cossie mounts and if u uses the big bolts the cossie uses they wont go in to the hub.

Any help would be thankfull.

The 4X4 mondeo brakes are no different to the mondeo V6 brakes then, All though, I thought the 4X4 brakes were just the same as a normal 2.0 Si, Ive got that many sets of calipers, Ive forgot whats what. The V6 brakes may be good on a fiesta but its a different story on a mondy due to the weight, The latest brake upgrade is to fit 300mm Mk3 mondeo brakes on the Mk1/2 mondeos
