Engine xr2 identify help

Hi can anyone tell me how to identify a engine? I have bought a escort with a fiesta xr2 engine in it, well the seller wasn't 100% sure but that's what he said.
I've tried to upload a picture but to no avail 256kb maximum upload exceeded apparently.
Can anyone identify the engine serial numbers? Mine is - 81SM 6582 AH AJA
Or post some xr2 engine pictures so I can compare?

if 1.6 . the two types of carburetor were these : Weber DFT carburettor 32/34 , which is better than 28/32 TLDM Weber . 32/34 carburetor is the first generation of xr2
