Driveshaft

right update i just went back out to check summet i can now put the driveshaft back into the gearbox and the wishbone now fits perfectly but what concerns me is how the driveshaft is held in, is it by the rubber boot and the 2 clips at either end of the boot that it is held in by???or summet else that has broken off or summet

i know what to do now but was just wondering what holds the driveshaft in the slot to the gearbox?i took the rubber boot of and all was holding it in was a c clip at one end and a smaller one at other end is that all there should be any bolts or anything?
