See i told you that you'd need my expert help

Just whatever you do, dont try towing it with the driveshaft half hanging out, bad things will happen :bonkers:

Undoing the bolts should just require a big ass spanner/socket :bonkers: Find a nice big bar to slip over the rachet to get more leaverage and job done :)

never noticed on any of the 4 festers ive taken shaft off! would make sense though!

one minor point dont use a rachet to undo it ull prob knacker it!
buy a breaker bar from halfords! £15 i think mine was, loads of leverage and garenteed for life.

as for getting the driveshaft out the hub, the only way i do it now is to undo the lower arm bolt out (one in line with the hub) so the hub now swings on the other bolt and the suspension, then using plenty of penertatrive lube(wd40) pull the hub out wards far as freely possible and tap the end of the shaft with a copper head mallet :D

Shame you didnt develop a method that actually works before we played with my car :P Would have saved just a bit of time :oooh: Oh well, got the job done eventually :)

Well i undid them yesterday, i learnt that its best to do it with the wheels on! lol
They is no reverse locking thingy, you just undo them as though they are normal nuts, i think you must be thinking of the rear wheels!
Thanks for all your help i juts got to get the bastads out know, any more tips?
cheers

Adam if you want me to come over and "help", (point and laugh, make sarcastic comments, take pics, drink all your tea, distract you and force you to smooth my 2i bumper  etc  ) then youve got my number, feel free to give me a buzz anytime.
I only work weekends now, i reduced my hrs to give me time to work on the car and portfolio, but mostly i just end up sleeping and sitting around getting bored playing PS2 :bonkers: So im free most of the time :oooh:
