Do speed cameras make a beep noise??

Postby John H on Wed Oct 16, 2002 1:44 pm

Sorry if its a stupid question, but i was on the m11 (i think) and part of it was restricted to 50mph, but by the time i realised i had gone past a speed camera at about 65 :o , im not sure if it flashed but i heard a beep noise?!

P.S the weather was really bad lastnite, can i use that as an excuse?

Cheers

The 'Beep' would have had to have been damn loud for you to hear it from inside the car while driving :o

You could say wind was blowing your car too hard and you could not slow down!

If it was dark you would see the flash quite easy! you would not have heard a noise from the camera! (never heard any noises when Ive been flashed)

The camera on the way from Chadwell Heath to Romford can only flash you one way. But they can turn it around either way [ERRR] its on its own island, and trust me they do it on a regular basis. :x :x
I have seen it where someone has turned it round facing into the field on the other side of the rd
