make sure its the right rack beofre handing ya old on eback or ya in the $hit!

i know what ya saying about the rs lower ball joints, they are longer and when ya lower the car it puts the wheels at a angle, thats why i dont use the rs lower ball joints on my rs

yeah, set yours in the center by turning it full lock one way and count the turns to the other full lock, half that can come back but that amount of turns.
do this with the new one to see if its the same.

size wise it shouldnt be any different but if its a non gen rack there might be a little difference.

dont hand over the old rack till you know its right, thats if you old rack is the right one

let us know how ya get on mate.

the arms are the same as any other fiesta that uses ball joints with 3 rivets, its the ball joint itself that is 10mm longer and 10mm set back, if you look above or on 1st or second page your see a picture i have put up.

as for the ball joints i use, ford say all 2i have 2 rivets and FRST has 3, as does the fiestas with power steering even tho i have seen 2i with 3 rivets im guess they have the wrong ones.
i use the ball joints off a feisat thats ment to have power steering as it pulls the ottom of the wheel back in as i washaving problems with the inside edge wearing out on my tyres., but at the time i hade 50mm lowering springs on, i have now got avo's but gunna stick with the ball joints as i havent worn a tyre out for ages. well since changeing the ball joints
