Custom Centre console build

Postby bassboy on Mon Apr 06, 2009 11:11 pm

Hey guys, had a customer come in looking to take up no boot space whatsoever, wanted a fair bit of extra bass and wanted it as tight as possible...didnt have to be mega loud...but just nice so when he listens to his Raggae and dubplate, theres enough presence there on the bottom end...

after ummming and ahhh-ing, we decided to build everything into a centre console...the console will also house a custom switch panel for a few of his toys which will be details later on

Plan = 3 Ascendant Audio Assassin 8's, custom enclosure, perspex panel, switch panel...and lot of boom boom boom!

Right, after measurements were taken, it was time to get cutting

MDF panel cut to size

Marked up ready for panel to be cut out

Were going OLD SKOOL! LOL

You cant see in the pics, but the side panels needed cutting to clear the backrest levers, ill get some better pics of this as the build continues

Just waiting on the perspex panel to arrive...but before thats here, the box will be flocked as its a new trimming material we now do and this is the first customer build we have undertaken with this covering ;)

That looks good! What did you use to stick down the stuff you flocked the box with?

Its a strong contact adhesive and the flock is charged on so it always stands on end and uniform :)
