They're tyre sizes mate, not alloy wheel sizes.

Do a search mate. This has been brought up millions of times before.

Dont really understand what your after,

But cossie wheels are 8"x 16" Deep dish as you say
Mondeo are 7" x 16" (i think not sure of width)
Escort Gti 6.5" x 15" (i think not sure of width)
Optional extra 14" aint got a clue of the width!

sorry [ERRR] im after are really the different widths of the alloys as i want 16's that will fit under a ka (same as the fiesta arches), though i dont think they come in a width of 195, as this will go under without any scrubbing. u say 7 inches wide but [ERRR] tyre size is that as it only comes to 178 mm ?!?! basically what i want to know is can u get these rims in the size that the tyre 195/45/16 will go on no probs?!?

sorry if iv been jabbering away!!

Escort Cosworth alloys are 16" x 8". 205/45 or 205/40 tyres are needed. The problem is the width and the offset (ET25) Causes big problems in fitting.

Most people go for the Mondeo Si wheels which are similar style but are also 16". Come in 6", 6.5" and 7"(i think). Offset is ET35(i think). 195/45/16 and 195/40/16 tyres both fit.

195/40 are best as the height of the sidewall is smaller but the tyres are more expensive. Depending on how low you're wanting to lower the car you may not need this size of tyre anyways.

Hope this helps.

Lee.

the mondeos mostly come with 205/50/16
and hopefully 6.5 inch wide!

i'm still trying to arrange with a bloke that i'm supposed to be buying them off!!!!!!!!!
just worried they'll be 7inch wide cos it'll be just as much work on the arches as having 17's

i take it 6.5 inches wide will be the wheel size that will fit the tyre size 195/45/16 therefore requiring no arch work ???

7 inch being the wheel to take the 205 tyre width, requiring arch work...
