One more thing before I go out dude - you haven't allowed for thermal expansion on the flange - the cast pipes will expand differently to the 10mm plate so cut slits between each port to accomodate 8)

I didn't mean that but that's true mate - what I meant though is that if yo used the saab/volvo housing you can weld a 3" pipe straight onto that and still use an internal wastegate.

The escort housing has the 2.5" elbow.

yeah it'll get a bit warm, but the brake lines will be moved and the vent in the bonnet keeps a nice stream of cold air going over the turbo. got heat shielding to go on the bulkhead too!

Holy smokes red your a clever chap !!! do you have to change the compression on the engine for that and is it easy ?

what is the most difficult stage in your conversion? very impressed.

Also that Fiesta looks rather tasty shame you cant have both but i like the Clio too :D

hello !! m8 im very impresed with that manifold and i really hope it works out and holds together ok when you fire it up !!

if not this one would fit nicly and give you plenty of room for that t3

Image

i think i read futher up you got old 1.8 f7p lying around AND the 2.0 willie lump f7r, nick the head from the willie lump and use the f7p bottom end its much thicker on the bore walls than the 2.0 casing not as torquey but who cares when your pushing 400 bhp eh!

your right about gear box standard r19 16v one is fine but any thing over 250 bhp i suggest waiting till second to floor it ! other wise you will chew 1st up for sure

how is you for the oil feeds, i got some info i could send you on where to drill the sump for the oil returns for the turbo if you need umm

blob7777@hotmail.com

hehe going this route my self, i know loads of uk suplyers for low comp clio 16v pistons too, no need to go all that way

prices vary 500 bout cheapest or 800 from k tec racing if you want branded name stuff lol

do add me just too say how that manifolds going the one in my pics priced at 700 from http://www.fastchip.nl id much prefer one from you for 50 squid

who also do clio 16v management for turbo conversions its 150 for the chip

hope some of this helps, give us a shout with how its going

tell you what just been having a chat with a m8 about the 2.0 bottom end

technically the 2.0 is only .7mm thinner than the 1.8 and its the crank that produces most of the extra 200cc ? so if you take the 1.8 bottom end get 2.0 low comp forged pistons and rebore the 1.8 to fit the new pistons then use the 2.0 crank technically you should have the best of both worlds ?

dunno maybe, lol tell you the truth not even the clio turbo companys have tryed that one yet, got my m8 testing it for me lol will let you know ahaha
