Clear rear lights for fiesta mk3, help???

Postby c0redump on Tue Jul 16, 2002 10:29 pm

Hi all.

I've been reading these forums for quite some months now, and just got round to registering the other day. I'd just like to say, fantastic site, and a nice little community thing going on here. :)

Anyways, what I wanted to ask was about clear right lights, or tail lights, whatever they are called for a mk3 fiesta... I've looked about loads of places and can't seem to find them. I know some mates who have got clear lights for their corsas and so on from mail order companies, but can't find none for a fiesta. Anyone know where I could get these, online hopefully? (in Kent, so not driving to Scotland to get them :P)

Or some advice maybe, my fiesta is metallic blue, what ford call (galaxy blue), like darkish. Would smoked lights or maybe blue lights look better on the back? I can't really spray the lights with the spray 'cos they need to be visible to the bulbs still don't they?

If ya getting confused, I don't mean like clear bulbs, etc. I mean like the cover, plastic thingy.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me. :)

it said "Separate foglight required." - without being dumb, what that actually meaning, i thought it was included in the light thingy?

it says that a seperate fog light is needed becaused the Drivers side would normally have a red plastic backing inside the light casing so that when the bulb turned on it would shine red. On the clear rears they dont have the red backign in them and so when the fog light is turned on it shines white. If this doesnt make sense it will when you get them. you will see what the red palstic thing is [ERRR] it is in the brake light section but not the fog light section.

Simple way around this is to paint the bulb Red, other wise it will fail an MOT.

no probs mate, yup that is for the pair including delivery thats all you pay :)

Its easy to get the old lights off, just 4 nuts on the back, unclip the bulb holder and it comes out.

Don't need a seperate fog light if you put a red bulb in
