Calibra Turbo Pistons In Zetec - Urgent Questions
I need to know asap so i can call the machine shop first thing!
I know how much to enlarge gudgeon pin hole, i've asked IH but the answers are a bit cryptic
1) The piston needs clearance for the rod machining. Does anyone know what needs machining from the piston?
2) It LOOKS like the pistons will foul the oil jets, is this the case or not, he just said to make room if i need to...
Thanks people!

hi!
i made my ZT a year ago with the same pistons,
you have to bore out to 86mm
and enlarge to small end of the rod.
i think about 0,4mm.
you dont have to do anything on the pistons,
they give a 7,7:1cr with a focus rs gasket.
the pistons goes very close to the oil jets.
i only bend it a bit down( ~1mm)
all the work cost me 200€
i hope this will help you.
cheers alti

Thanks Alti for your help!
I ordered the same head gasket earlier, there is a new finis number as there is a newer version of the part.
Whats your spec and what power are you running?
