I used am MK5 1.6 unit without ABS. This was as my car did not have ABS
It's very important you get the right type, i.e. with or without ABS. However if you are going for one with ABS I couldnt tell you which to get as I never had to look at that
If you are going for non ABS then I can only recommend the 1.6 Zetec, non ABS unit from a MK5 Escort

s**t man more problems really vexing me up thats why didnt wanna go through this hassle!!!!
I just spoke to the guy who's selling the ones above on eBay and he said yeh the car they came of had ABS.
So if mine doesnet have ABS (which most likely i think it doesnt though will have to confirm) will the above servo and cylinder still work because theres no extra box/stuff or pipes going to be added or is that it came of an ABS car and thats that cant be done look for one that came without ABS??????????
sorry if ive made this a bit too confusing!!!!!!

If it has ABS then there will only be 2 outlets on the master cylinder
If it does not have ABS there will be 4 outlets
You need to buy an Escort cylinder that matches yours, either with or without ABS
For example on my non ABS you can see there are 4 outlets, 2 facing you on the right and 2 underneath

Hi ok am back needing some help. Am gonna change my servo and master cylinder to the mk5 escort one. Went to a few scrappies and they quoted me £25-30 quid. I phoned a mate who works at a Motorfactors and he said he can get me a new cylinder for £28 but said i wont need a new servo.
SO guys do i need the mk5 escort servo or can i use the standard fezzy one???? Even if i do stick with the standard one will i need to mess around with the rod on the end/adjust it??
Whats the chances of just putting the new master cylinder on and everything will be ok?????

Stoned :Nah the servo bit should be fine, it's the master cylinder that gets knackered by being out of the car
what exactly u mean by that matey that the original servo should be ok to use or do u mean if i get a 2nd hand one from a scrappy the servo usually wont get damaged but a master cylinder might?
When i did go to the scrappies i did look and make sure that teh cars with the servo and cyliner still in em had that fluid in so the seals etc werent fooked as u recommended but as ill be buying a brand new Master Cylinder I shouldnt have to worry about this problem should i?
Just need to know what i need to do about the servo???

Just tried fitting the escort servo and cylinder.
I purchased them both seperately. Fitted to the fiesta they wouldn't work? Maybe the rod inside the servo isn't meeting the cylinder very well?
Once fitting the Si cylinder and servo back onto the fez, I did a full bleed again. And now I now have excellent pedal feel at full height? It's really strange. I have rear focus discs and RS2000 front calipers and now have brilliant feel with standard Si servo and cylinder!

xrsi :they wont cos the mounting brackets and the servo need modifiying to fit to a fiesta!
I did the mods, forgot to mention it though! Shortened and welded the rod, and drilled new holes. (i wouldn't have been able to fit it without doing these)
