This thread is amazing!
FORD should take note, they should have been built like this in the first place!
Can't wait to see the finished article!

everything is back on it , cleaned every interior part , i fixt the driversseat it had some marks on it from getting in and out, i had some si seats and got the part that had marks on it from my seats changed to the ones from the si , they look like new now

Re: belgian xr2i 1.8 16v (08/07/08) almost ready
today i drove it for the first time in 7 months, and it feld fine
a few little bits had to be done, setting the lights, wheel allingment, reprogram the pats for the new steering lock and key, and making the new exhaust with the st170 manifold

not much done on the engine for now, nuw sparkplugs, ht leads, oilchange, oilfilter , petrolfilter.
need too clean the bay a bit

interior looks like new, the steeringwheel looks grey but is black

after 7 months ist roling again , let me know what you think

wow
The end result looks amazing. Very well done mate nice to see someone fixing it all up instead of buying a new shell and transferring everything over.

Re: belgian xr2i 1.8 16v (31/07/08) st170 manifold
a little update
i wasn't happy with the front shocks, way too soft , the car was bouncing up and down at the front.
so i started adjusting the red koni's. the right one whent fine, but the left one isn't adjustable anymore, and it feels verry soft , so that has too be replaced. for now i fitted the original shock at the left front.

than i started with the st170 manifold
removed the old one

out with the pulsair tubes

from this

too this

too this

and finaly this

and it fits

next thing is making the mongoose exhaust fit the manifold

Re: belgian xr2i 1.8 16v (31/07/08) st170 manifold
update
the bad koni is back to koni, they'll fix it , just have to wait
the st170 manifold is ready and the mongoose exhaust fits
i had a "spacer" lasered for between the manifold and the head so the manifold fits good

wraped the manifold , looks good

only waiting for a new "slim line " fan, the old one doesn't fit anymore
also got me some roose motorsport cooling and Ancillary hoses and fitted them
