A good price forthis car?
Is this a good price for this car. Just wondering as I may be looking for one when I get home in a couple of months and want an idea of the kind of money I should be paying. This seems a little much for this car tio me but i'v been out of the game a while and I know they go for good money these days.

Re: A good price forthis car?
Valve caps missing, exhaust hangs like a drunks junk, crossover bolt missing..jacking covers
Missing...corners at wing/slam look rough, bubbling under kit, fuel cap is hideous,
Cards hanging, paint looks tired....................
Larger oil cooler?? That's the Standard intercooler lol.
Tbh 2k would be my max mate based on that insight.

Yea I thought so. he's done a couple of other vids of it and its not the best but with work it could be a good car.
Also has a torn drivers seat and a scratch down the side and on the bonnet.

Tbh imop id be at £1500.
Get it up on a ramp fella, if its covered in stone chip/shultz then id be starting too wonder lol.
Wheels are imop of course hideous on a mk3, but the fact its all looking abit tired says too me its got some
Hiddens.
Carpet takes 5 mins too pull up around bulkhead/sills soo if he's genuine he wont mind a few screws coming
Out for a mooch.
You ever owned a turb/mk3 in general bud?

I had a mk3.5 1.1 years ago yea but not in recent years. Always wanted one though and have done "a little" research on these in the past lol.
There is another video were he shows underneath and its just covered in underseal and there is a dodgy looking repair in there by the looks of it.

I would tend to agree on the condition not being that good I was just not sure on the value of a frst these days. Being a welder/sheet metal worker I can tell when something is repairable or not and i'm looking for something cheap to restore ideally but don't want a total mess.

Re: A good price forthis car?
He's no mechanic hahaha, they are inner sills not arch's haha..
Bud there are issues I can see, spare wheel tray missing, still got old manky abs,
That's deffo a pan repair on ds rear one too inner sill, chassis mount,
and spray shutz s**t everywhere
Go have a mooch mate, but I would genuinely be at £1-1.5 max, and I would
Be all over the floors, bulkhead, inner chassis legs where it joins bulkhead, arch liners are rare so look between
Front wing and inner wings, and inner A pillars
Just below windscreen inside as they hide rot well there, also sunroof gulleys inside opening,
Front wishbone out riggers too lower arms bend easily/rot..front panels are moth dust most of time,
Rear panel seams go below rubbers, and behind bumper too below qtr panel...
Basically they rot everywhere so don't be afraid too look AND TAKE YOUR TIME, ideally a frst
Nut too
Sadly the ONLY real way too see rot is gut it lol, but don't be put off...
Its a 20+yr old ford, id DEFFO be looking at it as a resto tbh if I were you,
The abs alone is s**t at best, those rear valves look erm tired hahaha.
ITS GOT POTENTIAL...just be prepared for alot of digging too find it
Let us know fella, if its local nowt too loose going for a mooch..........

Re: A good price forthis car?
Im not thinking of buying this one lol just trying to get an idea as I thought it was expensive for the condition its in.
I'm out in Afgan at the minute so until next year I wont be after anything just trying to get m ead back into them.
Cheers for all the advice though and I will be dead careful if and when I do come to buy one. Most likely try to get one from an enthusiast. Maybe keep my eyes open for one that's been owned by some old git or something and sat in a garage for years!
