right guys, had a bit os spare cash so i thought of ordering some new stuffthat im in need of! :)

alternator shield, made by jayrs :D , as my oil return is in the sump, i have moved my alternator forward and using a longer belt so this shield stops the blades slicing the radiator hose which has happened to me before   will fit this weekend and update with more pictures :D
Image

bargain off ebay, why not! :)
Image

new gearbox gasket as mine leaks a lot, throttle cable clip, new flywheel cover (discontinued) and breather pot hoses :)
Image

full engine sticker set that i managed to find :) not entirely sure where the 3 stickers on the far right go, anyone want to spread some light?? :-? :-?
Image

fully refurbished standard alloys, bargain for these so i had to buy them  (my others are for sale in parts for section :) )
Image

check for some more updates in the next few days as im collecting more stuff on sunday :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think the white sticker on the far right goes on the left of the rock cover, there should be a small indent on the cover?

EDIT - Found a picture, the throttle cable is covering it slightly...

the yellow one i belive goes on the battery, the white one as said above is for rocker cover, and the other too im not sure on aas not all fords came with these as far as i know, from what ive seen they get put in different places, but ive seen them on escorts before though.

you know im tempted to make another one of them shields for my own car

well im not putting the standard wheels on yet, just saw them at a good price :)

the stickers were bought from tremona garage, £22 for the set whch sounds steep but worth it i think.

just need to find out where them 2 blue stickers go :-? :-?

Re: my 46k fiesta rst - ABS removal soon + tiny update 3-6-2009!

Postby rob pace on Wed Jun 03, 2009 7:07 pm

done a few things on the fiesta today as i had some spare time :) :)

alternator shield that jayrs made me, all fitted and perfect, now i wont shread my radiator hose above
Image

had to remove the turbo today as the rear water coolant copper washers had started leaking on the T2  , wasnt going to bother, but it bugged me so i removed the turbo, used a bit of sealant with the new washers and job done :)
Image

brand new genuine ford non ABS master cylinder and brake resivoir :D :D yes the ABS is going as its absolute crap and the brake pedal has no feel
Image

full set of non-ABS front and rear brake lines in excellent condition and no corrosion, removed from an rs turbo. im going back to the factory non-ABS look here. :D not sure if to use the rear lines, or just remove the ABS spring load valves on the back and just make some copper lines to connect to the drums :)

do you have to lower the fuel tank when you fit the rear lines? as the guy said he had to when he removed these :)

could get away without dropping the tank in a way, but dropping it will make the job a lot easier

as the sun was out and i didnt drink 15 pints of strongbow last night  i thought it would be a good idea to give the rear inner arches a good clean with a jet washer on low settings and a good shampoo with turtlewax :D couldnt get every spec of dirt out but has nearly come out looking like new and absolutely no signs of rust anywhere :o :o

the fuel sticker believe it or not goes on the inside of the mk3.5 fuel flap.

the ok for shipment sticker goes ontop of the cam belt cover.

have a look at a few concours bay pics to confirm exact places or even catalogue pics
