2024 - Members still around? Where are you these days?
What can I say?
Logging in here after so many years is bordering on emotional
This place used to be a HUGE part of my life; when I was 17 (22 years ago
) my car was my life, and this group was intrinsically linked to that.
Seeing some of the user names on here I used to chat to every.single.day, they were my online friends before it was 'normal'.
Posting a new topic and seeing the selection of smilies on the right hit me right in the heart!.
I've seen a few people comment that they don't use social media these days but I would LOVE to create a facebook group, or hell, a whatsapp group with as many of the regulars as possible. Perhaps meet up and catch up on what we're all doing these days.
If that's coming on too strong then so be it
I've mellowed since my early days posting on here; life's too short to f**k around and not say what you feel.
Me? I'm still into cars; that'll never change. Still in Hampshire too. I was looking through my old private messages and realised how many people were local, not sure if they still are.

I'm still here although my si has been off the road for 4 months. Need to sort rust out with areas that need welding up.

Popped in for the first time in a long while, and it feels odd typing a reply on FT!
Glad to see this is still here though - I occasionally wonder what people are up to these days.
As for me, I still have my XR2, but I've been through a couple of BMWs and now a Porsche for my daily drives. The XR2 has been off the road for a few years but has been stored well. Hoping to get it back on the road in time for it becoming a historic vehicle.

I always wondered whether you still had the XR2, Chris.
Feels like a lifetime ago since the last time we did Combe.
This is the first time I've popped in for a while, I still have my ST150 (owned for 14 years now) Last time I was here I had an E46 330d Touring which I had to chop in because Sadiq Khan said so, so went with a Focus 1.0 Ecoboost estate, which I've now chopped in for another BMW (before the Focus needed another wet belt).
