TTF - Si *SOLD but will be seen again?*
After having my mk3.5 1.3 for just over 2 years now, i felt it was time for something with a bit more grunt. I had been looking for a while not really desperate then i saw this 1 come up in the forum. Its completely standard, really clean and hardly any rust on it. Its also completely colour coded spolier and even the outer mirror bases.
The owner before SORN it which comes into action in September, which is quite good because i now dont have run 2 cars, and plus the tax runs out today. I got the previous owner to put a years MOT on it and it came back with no advisories at all.
as it was when i got home

the only bit of rust on the outside and has now been treated(pic before being treated)

sills

the second bit of rust and last of it, again has now been treated will be welded when on the road

rear

and after a clean today

my plans at the moment are just small things
1. Nees to get rid of the extra Si badge on the boot

2. Get new number plates as it also has another Si icon on and also has the previous owners name on, which was a girl
3. Swap the alloys off my 1.3 over to the si, and swap the tyres from the si over on to the alloys as well as they are virtually brand new and are actually the right size for the wheel

4. Just stick some chrome bulbs in the front indicators
Thats about it at the for the mo wheels will be sorted next week so will update when done.
Tell me what u think

Hi Toby.
Glad your happy with the si. It is a lovely example of one. Glad its gone to a good home where someone is enthusiastic about it. Rather than any old person.
GF was sad to see her go LOL

Re: My Si *update 12/10/08*
been meaning to update this for the last few weeks.
i have now put the alloys i had on the 1.3 on but with smaller tyres
and with the headlight protectors on.
after a clean today

im on the look out now for some 15" alloys as they just look that it small and need to fill out the arches more.
also been on my to do list was to clean the roof lining after seeing the job that JamieFRST had done on his. it was pretty dirty lots of marks mainly around the back end next to the boot. did the whole thing with carpet cleaner and i think it came out really well.
before

after

next on the list are the mirors, as they have been painted over the textured stuff and the near side has started to crack
what do you think?

Re: TTF - Si *update soon*
With those new wheels and a 50mm drop id say it will look spot on. Well, maybe a laguna splitter would make it even better though.

Re: TTF - Si *update 28/10/08*
Here are the pics as promised, after a quick clean today.
Think it looks really good but you can see it does need lowering.

and playing with the light on the camera

my favourite

Only problem at the moment, which is no biggie (and im sure some of you have noticed), is that the locking wheel nuts stick out which is pushing the cap out. After chatting with Wayne and Steve we've discovered that they are locking wheels nuts for mondeos or something of that size. So gota to get proper fiesta ones then they sit fine.
A big thanks to Steve for letting me have them as well as i know he loves them.
What ya think?
