Yeah it cleaned up alright, still needs a bit of a buff here and there and a polish and I think that'll be that for the bodywork.

Next car will be.....I've no idea  but it would be a lie to say I've not been thinking about it already :P
I'll get some engine shots when that's done (that's the part that needs some work)

It needs a few bits of the bodywork cut and polished, the rear door card fabric is coming off so they need re-glueing....and it needs a good service and possibly the rockers need adjusting. I'm sure there are a few more little thing I've forgotten or things will crop up, but that's it for now.

lol at the sandals comment, I just knew someone would pick up on that

The rockers/tappets can be adjusted apparently and it's not an un-common problem...apparently. I'm waiting for my haynes to arrive so I can find out the tollerances and torque settings but hopefully I can sort the noise easily and cheaply.
I think it has potential but needs a little time and effort putting in first.....before it goes up for sale lol

Ok, I've done lots of little jobs so far that aren't that interesting. This is the first noticable thing I've done:

Before; the old wing that was on there had been repaired at some point and the paint finish and match was crap:
Image

I found a wing in the scrappy so that went on after a lot of fuss, but the end result was:
Image

I suppose I could have buffed it and made it look a lot better but the fact was that it had been repaired badly and I can't have that, not even on my runarounds lol
And no Max, the haynes still hasn't arrived yet so the tappets are still tapping.

 Yeah, I think my compulsive need to make every car I get mint is going to get me into trouble one day
Saying that though, my philosophy is to do all the niggly jobs on my cars so then when I come to sell them, there is absolutely nothing wrong and they are the best they can be.

Yep. Im changing this bumper cos i hit a badger, the clips on the bottom were broken anyway so it al sagged and there was a bit of scuff by the wing from its tail or something. Which also bent the wing in a bit cracking the paint. Not found a wing yet though.

I'm only messing Ollybee, I had a smart arse mate at uni that used to call my cars taxi's, I could understand with the vectra but he kept saying it about the bm too. I did find it funny how I was always asked to carry stuff in my cars because no-one else had the space in thier 106's etc
