FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
**EDIT**
just a reminder, this poll will be ending on sunday 25th, anyone that hasnt voted yet has till then to vote.
i will prob ask for this thread to be locked sunday evening sometime after 5pm so lets say you have till 5pm sunday
right, to get more views and get a true idea of what people want i have asked for the poll to be moved, but if it is the votes go, so this is a brand new poll and those that have voted on the last poll please vote here instead.
i want to remind everyone that all profits gained from the 2010 FT calendar are going to charity, which one, or 2, will be decided at a later date.
PLEASE NOTE, this thread is purly for voting, if anyone wants to comment on the calander idea it self please use the thread in off topic
heres the link
how-about-a-2010-ft-calendar-vt173175/
also, just to remind people, you do NOT have to post a reply on this thread or the other stating what you have voted for.
this one will also run for 3 weeks

Biased poll. Where's the option for FRST/RS1800/XR2i only?

MotorcyclesFish :Biased poll. Where's the option for FRST/RS1800/XR2i only?
that would be the top one mate, i.e mk3/3.5 only
but, engine spec is not important, as theres sleepers that look base spec, but run silly power, and people like, just as theres very good looking cars that run 1.1 power, and again people like, there for that is the reason i have not limited it to given models only, i.e frst, rs1800 and xr2i
for example, there are people on this site that like heemans car, and rawlies car, but both of them are in fact not a frst, a rs1800 or a xr2i, one started life as a 1.1 the other a diesel, but none the less nice cars which people like.
to limit it to car that left the factory with a ID other than what you have stated would be unfair.
im mean, the voting could go that way in the end, who knows, but i have to give every one a fair chance, i just hope that it is still as popular idea at the final stage as it is now, no matter what the outcome of the final votes will be.
after all its something for the forum members, something for the site, and also, to raise a bit of money for charity.

Voted for all Fiesta's as not all members have RST's and it would be a shame to miss them out as they do contribue to the site. Also it might be nice to have a wee spec sheet in the pics with them, as has already been mentioned there are some sleepers out there.
cheers

if the user/member wanted a spec list im sure one could be added fairly easy, something to bear in mind, but it would make it a bit too much like a mag then imo

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
Just voted but didn’t like any of those headings, as the site is FIESTATURBO, i think that any Fiesta with a Turbo fitted factory or aftermarket should be included. Sorry to be against anyone without one. Otherwise we might as well be Fiesta club GB or something.
The turbo is FT's unique attraction. Even if you don’t have Turbo you come to this site because you are interested in Turbo’ed fiestas.

I'd only like to see Mk1 to Mk3.5 Fiesta's in the calender, so unsure which one to vote for.

You vote for the option that most suits you. Unless you wanted the poll to be 300 pages long (MK1 and MK5 only, MK2 and MK4 only), and whats with the attitude?

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
ace1001ace, i see what your saying mate, but you could turn round and say that the site was set up in the first place because of a FRST and a gen one, there for it is based on just gen FRST, but as you have said there are non gen turbo cars on the site and then there is non turbo'ed ones on the site, and im not just talking 1.1's
, this is the main reason i havent just based it on engine spec, after all all bonnets will be shut , well i guess they would be, for the calendar so know ones gunna know whats under the hood anyway
for me to turn round and say turbos only nothing else is invited would be like saying no black people allowed in a pub or something, just wouldnt be fair mate, got to give everyone a fair chance to enter
fiend mate, as nick said you got to pick the one that most suits you, i know what your saying, there are people inc my self which dont like some of the mk's of the fiesta, but as i said above evey one must be given a fair chance to at least have the opportunity to get in, the polls will decide what the outcome of the above options will be, just as they will decide the outcome of the main selection process, so all i can saymate is pick the one you fell is best and then vote for that option and when the main selection comes up, vote on that for the cars you want to see, thats all you can do, but 1 vote could well be the difference to seeing something you want to see and seeing something you dont want to, so im urging everyone to have a vote, and this bit isnt mean in a nasty way towards anyone.
if you dont vote, dont moan if it doesnt end up the way you thought it might, so get voting and subscribe to this and the calendar thread and keep watching it
nick, i didn'y sense any attitude

I meant I felt that the rolling eyes smiley was unnessecary to be honest. I always find that the roll-eyes smiley denotes that the person using it implies you don't know what you're talking about and insulting your intelligence. My POV.
For example;
Where's the option for MK1 to MK3.5?
when compared to
I'd only like to see MK1 to MK3.5

Re: FT calendar, what sort of cars should be in it, poll
Jay, I see your point totally. Well how are these pictures going to be actually taken? Will everyone meet or will everyone be responsable for submitting their own photos.
If this was the case then maybe have a competition. Everone submits a photo of their car and the top 12 (or more) will all be in the calender? That means everyone can enter and the best pictures get voted for on here.
Anyway I'm not too bothered because what ever happens the calender will have some good cars in it.
