fiesta turbo ecu wireing???????????? NEEDED ASAP FOR 2MORRA!

im now converting a mk5 escort van 2 fiesta turbo running gear & have a complete running package.

my problem is: how do i do the wireing??????

i am runing OFAB ecu & have complete engine loom.

i know its just a case of useing 3-4 wires from the engine loom & tap them into my old loom but can sum1 tell me what colour wires need 2 go where????????

red - +batt, black - ign, brown - earth, green - rev/count, blk/green - f/pump, brn/green - oil press, this is what i would THINK anyway, somone may confirm :)

black--------------- inginition??????????? (what do u mean ignition? live?? earth?)
brown---------------earth
green---------------rev counter
black/green--------fuel pump??? (direct 2 fuel pump?) what about relay?
brown/grenn-------oil pressure (is this to light on dash clocks?) carnt i use the original van wire?


sorry for all the questions but want to be 100% clear on this as only want to do it once! lol

I HAVE LOOKED AT THE PLUG & CAN SEE THE WIRES NEEDED BUT IM NOT SURE ON WHERE THESE WIRES GO????????

2X BROWNS?????
BLACK/GREEN??????? direct to fuel pump?????? to fuel pump relay???????

needed for 2moora if any1 can help?

i know the chap above says browns are earths but on other link ive been sent it says there for:

fuel pump relay?
ecu currant return????

can any1 help?

:devil: Im having the same problem here...doing an EFi convo on my ERST. Sussed most of the wires, theres 3 i aint a clue about.

PIN 1 - Blank
PIN 2 - RED - Power
PIN 3 - BR/GR - Oil pressure, no need to use this
PIN 4 - BLK / GR - ??? - comes from PIN 4 on the E-DIS module
PIN 5 - BR - Current return
PIN 6 - GR - ??? - comes from PIN 1 on the dissy pack, PIN 3 on E-DIS
PIN 7 - BR - Fuel pump relay
PIN 8 - BLK - ??? - comes from PIN 2 on dissy pack

PIN 6 (GR) does sound like a sensible choice for the rev counter, as for the other 2...i've no idea. Gonna do some searchin today, ill post up results if i get anywheres... :devil:

yes had that mate.

can sum1 tell me where the 2x brown wores go????? (earths???)

also where the black/green wire goes?????/ (is this 2 the fuel pump relay?) if so what colour on thge fuel pump relay? (im useing an escvort fuel relay)

the green & black will be the + signal to the fuel pump relay, browns as i said earlier are earth, black is + ign, green rev.

:devil: WRONG WRONG WRONG...all the information you need is contained on the site i posted the link for...

PIN 1 - Blank
PIN 2 - RED - Power (constant 12V)
PIN 3 - BR/GR - Oil pressure (no need to use this)
PIN 4 - BLK / GR - Fuel Injector Relay
PIN 5 - BR - Current Return (earth)
PIN 6 - GR - Rev Counter
PIN 7 - BR - Fuel Pump Relay
PIN 8 - BLK - Ignition Live

As for the relays...looks like you connect to No87 on the injector relay, & No85 on the fuel pump relay...not 100% on that tho.

red on live
black on ignition live
both browns 2 earth
green/brown to oil pressure light on dash


i havent wired up the green 2 the rev counter yet as havent got a set of efi clocks at the min!

also i havent wired up the black/green wire???????

What engine loom are you using?

Do you have matching sensors & ecu?

What type of loom is in the van?

:devil: too right mate...its awesome, could rise to 'Jim Hearne' status..lol..only found it yesterday when i realised id be up against the same problem soon. As it is, i aint even got my block in yet, so it'll be a few weeks away. Good to try an get the knowledge in tho... :devil:

ive put fuel pump on ignition live untill i work out how 2 wire up a seperate fuel relay!

in total its taken use 14 hours 2 fully convert the van from 1.8 diesel to full on fiesta turbo (includeing petrol tank & exhaust)

:devil: sweet...well done bud. By the looks of it, you've got the injectors on a constant live too...are they working with just the ignition switched on...i.e without the engine running..?? :devil:

they are on ignition live mate (2nd click) but van is neva left with ignition on & not running!

all works well!
