haha, dont worry ive taken the bottom spoiler off, it was on there when i got it and an rs turbo ones one there now. so far its sat on spax all round with 40mm drop, but lukes looking for some h&r's so i may have his avo coilovers off him and drop around 65mm on the back and 55mm on the front.
*all the lines are being smoothed out of the bumpers and bodykit, u know those lines that run through. the lines above the rear windows have been smoothed already.
*set of steffan bcw wheels, 7x14 on the front 8x14 on the back (now thinking of some WRD Wire Split Rims, 15x9's, but at £400 each w/o tyres gunna be expencive)
*twin exit zorst one on either side of the bumper, cutting out the surround of another bumper and plastic welding it in on the other side.
*2 buckets in the front
*as for colour im unsure, it will be some sort of blue.
*pop out rears already in garage.
*eventually zetec turbo lump after running the 2.0 on throtle bodies first.
*all the sound proffing on the floors coming up.
as for that im unsure, but ill keep u updated

Recent pics pls!

Am liking the sound of Euro stylee a lot, but you wanna be careful because it's a difficult style to make look good. Would have though you'd want to slam it further than just 55/65mm on 14's for that Euro look, but with your bro's coilies, you can always have a look and drop it further!

yeah i probably will drop it lower than 55-65mm but at the mo its sat 40mm on 13's and its looking pretty low, whole kits brand new so havent even settled yet, but i started to doubt myself when i saw adams is being slammed 80-100mmm i think on 15's and my bros coilovers on his project are set to about 80mm drop on his 15's so probably will go lower. With the "euro" look ive seen it done well, and badly. Im going to stick to nice smooth flowing lines, a colour thats differnt but subtle, something like Suberu (sp) Ice Blue or VW Lazer Blue Pearl and the wheels are nice deep dished 5 spokes.

welcome murray  and for your chioce of bench and doorcards i would suggest using mk3bench's and mk5 doorcards they fit real easy and look the nuts :D and also as you have the time if i was you i'd do a mk5 dash conversion :D its well worth it

cheers ad

Welcome to the site mate.

Car looks like it's gonna need a bit of preparation, still, you'll be clued up on the basics of bodywork care and painting earlier than most! :D

If it's your first car, I'd leave a few quid aside to repair any dinks and scrapes you might have as you climb the learning curve. Enjoy though! :)

right, here some updates as promiced. Could have done much more today if the on and off snow hadnt interuppted.
Image
notice the bodykit. ive applied the first layer of filler to the swage lines, jacking point covers are also being smoothed in, but i left them at home today  so have to smooth them in tomorrow.

Image
bumpers got the top line smoothed and cut for mesh/intercooler. The bottom lines going into the splitter will also be filled tomorrow as i ran out of filler today :D

Image
fitted the focus side repeaters

Image
bonnet line is now totally smooth

Image
finally finished smoothing in these bloody vents :P

Image
passenger door is being de-handled and de locked and the boots being de locked and wipered. couldnt do any welding today cos of the snow so will wait till tomorrow hopefully

Image
the lines on either side of the back bumper are also being smoothed in as well as the top stripe line and the second zorst surround will soon be fitted soon as i find a donor bumper. ill photo shop it up to show u what i mena when i have time. comments welcome :D :D :D

nah the car was a horrible bergandy colour, then my brother prepped it for spraying with white primer, then i got hold of it and during sanding/leveling some has gone back down to the origional colour. Im having it fully prepped before hand anyway so its not a bother to me. ive got zinc primer around the problem spots just for good measure. thanks for all ur feedback :D

im in two minds at the moment with the front bumper cos i have two, i used that one as the lines already been filled and it saved me a job, but as im 17 and cant have a turbo (unless its a deseasal) for another 3 1/2 years its gunna be meshed instead of an intercooler, and lets face it, its not the same, so tomorrow i may put the origional bumperback on and just do the extra work and smooth it.

muz why fiddle with modding a rear bumper when a zetec-s will fit straight on and can have twin exit??? and also tell me you didn't smooth a genuine rs bonnet????

Because too many people have zetec-s bumpers if they run a twin exit zorst, i though this would be differnt, its the little things which make a difference, and with the bonnet blame luke lol. he started that i finished it, (but its not a genuine bonnet, cos to be honest i thought so many times sod it ill buy one and leave em, but i stuck to it and its something wich not many people have. plus i have far too much time on my hands at the moment lol. heres what the backs gunna look like (excuse the poor photoshop, it was knocked up abit)
