this is how I done it !
Hi peeps,
For all those who wanted to know how I managed those ESCORT RS turbo
series 2 into my Fiesta XR2i here's some detailed pics :
I've used some steel U-profiles (steel because it's much stronger) and just bolted them on to my original Fiesta subframes...
The steel U-profiles
have to be +/- 47cm long and you'll need 4 off them.
Just bolt them on but be very carefull with drilling the holes cause it's all have too match ! Take your time for it and don't rush...
When you take your Fiesta subframes out and take the seats off you'll see
4 bolts where the seats where mounted on ; take a hammer and knock them out.
You have to replace those bolts with thicker and stronger M8 bolts and bobs.
Before you screw everything together take it all apart to your car and just check that's everything everything @ the right place !
When so you can start bold everything together and just put them into your car.
Before you'll put everything in there start painting them U-profiles...
You will see that your seats are gonne come a bit higher then normal but that's due to the steel U-profiles !
and last but not least ; the pictures...

Car: 1991 Ford Fiesta RS Turbo
He did.. BUT!!!..
the Escort Recaro's lack the 2 bars the FRST recaro's do have..
so he made the 2 bars of some U profile ( hmmz.. sounds like a fixing manual i've written earlier... hmmz)
this way the seat sits firmly on the Fiesta subframe..
It's a Simple.. but you have to come up with it (-:

For those who still are interested:
I sold the Fiesta about 4 years ago, cannot remember how i managed to fit those seats into my ex-Fiesta
and doubt if i can find pics about it on my HD (bought a brandnew PC last year and destroyed the old one).
This topic needs to be LOCKED
Kind regards,
Kirsten
