mint, it really bugs me how the nova and corsa boys can get such good time from relativly little power.
some nova's were at brunters for a redline thrash and they were mental, must be cause the engines sit over the wheels more giving better traction or something.
wicked little motor

Max M4X WW :Maybe because they are 150bhp standard!
doesnt mean much, fiesta's are 133 standard
what i mean is the nova and corsa boys post some serious time's when they are little over 200bhp
yet RST boys really struggle to keep up with em,
for example i have/had 225bhp and good traction yet i doubt very very much i could get a 4 sec to 60 time or a 13.2 quarter.
yet the vauxhall crew can get time like that for very little ££££

Yea but they are n/a!
Id say a LET engine would have a bit more torque being a 2.0!

They arent that bad to insure. I got a quote for a 2litre corsa when i was 18. I told them about everything, including the ps2/screens/brakes/all engine mods. and it was cheaper than the gsi i was then running.

It's not weight distribution mate, it's torque. A turbo motor develops a lot more torque and it comes in a hell of a lot less progressively than an N/A motor.

I know what your saying about it being a more progressive curve and it will defo help, its just i was talkin to the redline lads about em and i find it odd that an RST with say 75 more bhp and lbf.ft will get beaten by a nova or corsa which for example may be running around 200bhp
i wouldnt bet on, say a Cavalier with the same engine beating a Sierra Cossie with 75bhp more, you know what i mean?
NEVER thought id say it but you gotta rs'pec the nova and corsa boys

Too true, my old engine was standard bar a hybrid turbo and fmic and would pull mid 13's all day long
